**Harry Potter

Draco's eyes widened, and he slowly came forward, as if expecting Harry to rescind his offer. He didn't, and was instead swept in a hug, Lucius sitting up to give them easier access. It didn't matter to Harry that the other boy was both older and quite a bit larger than him, he was his kit, and it felt right to hold him.

Nuzzling gently into the younger blond's hair, he stroked his hand down the boy's back in a soothing manner, pretending not to notice the sobs shaking through his frame. Harry was curious at that, and he gently reentered the child's mind.

Draco was surprised and glad that his Father's mate had found them and hadn't hurt them. Father talked about how they were both veelas, but that he was a submissive and Draco's grandfather had arranged his marriage to mother when he'd found out about it. He didn't like mother, she was often cruel towards him, and she never made breakfast or gave him hugs like mothers were supposed to.

Though Father had refused to say so, Draco'd found a book on veelas, and had discovered that most dominant mates to veelas (the book was careful on wording because veelas often mated with other creatures), would kill any of their mate's kits if they weren't sired by the dominant and sometimes used that same kit as a reason to reject their mate. Draco had been terrified, both of being killed and that he would be the one to ruin his Father's chance at happiness with his mate.

It didn't seem like that would be happening though, and Draco was so relieved he was crying in a very undignified manner into his hopefully new Dad's shoulder. A sudden realization made Draco grin. If Father had found his mate, that meant mother would have to get a divorce with Father, and then neither of them would be forced to live with her.

"Thank you," Draco whispered quietly when his sobs had eased enough to speak.

Harry pulled from the boy's mind, and looked at Lucius, whose  face was as open and hopeful as a child's. A blush stole over the man's face, and he stammered out, "U-Uh, I d-don't really know h-how t-to ask this, but, what's your name?"

Lucius seemed absolutely mortified that he didn't know Harry's name, so, taking pity on the older man, he said, "Harry Potter, and it is a pleasure to meet you."

Draco went still at the name, not even the after waves of trembling one usually experienced after a hard cry in evidence. Lucius' happy expression and embarrassed blush faded away, leaving him looking scared and pale.

"P-P-Potter? I-I thought there was only th-the o-one boy, J-James Potter?"

Harry said, "He's my twin, but we were separated so I couldn't get jealous of my older brother", and narrowed his eyes at the older man. What was going on here? Why was he so afraid? It hit Harry almost immediately. Lucius had served the Dark one, been his right hand in fact, and still planned to rejoin him when he came back, which Harry was certain he would. Harry Potter though, that boy was meant to hate the dark, his parents had been killed by it and because of that he'd been left with those god-awful muggles.

Lucius' breathing began to pick up, and Harry quickly took a dip into the older man's mind.

What he found made him wilt a little inside. Lucius was absolutely terrified, and Harry watched as he entered the first stages of a panic attack, knowing that nothing he could do or say would make his mate calm down or be able to handle his identity. Harry sighed, and reentered the Malfoy's minds, erasing their memories of him until Lucius had once again forgotten him entirely and Draco was at the point where Harry had just hovered in but they had yet to meet each other's eyes.

He put them in stasis and completely blocked their bond with Harry, not wanting them to rediscover it because Draco was going to learn his identity no matter what, and he couldn't constantly be erasing the two's minds. He'd have to gently ease them into the idea that Harry Potter didn't despise the dark, and then, and only then, would he reopen their side of the bonds.
