Marty

Since I got my cast, I've learned to do everything one-handed beside schoolwork. I had to use the speech-to-text feature. Have you ever used that feature? It doesn't always come out as it should.

Bailey helped me fix the mistakes, so my professors didn't flunk me. "Wouldn't this be easier if you recorded what you wanted to say?"

"It would, but I still need to type it."

Bailey blew air past her lips and tapped the keys on the keyboard.

"Yo, one arm bandit!" Rafe yelled from downstairs.

I rolled my eyes and walked to the doorway. "What, you freak of nature?"

"You'll look silly trying to dig your boxers out of your ass with one hand!"

"Bite me!"

"Kiss my ass!"

"Nah, your ass is hairy and ugly like your mug!"

"Who let the dogs outttt? Woof, woof!" Casper bellowed.

"Screw you, Casper!" Rafe yelled.

"I already have Hayes for that!"

"What the fuck? Do we need to hear about your kinky fuckery?" Liam asked.

Bailey and I glanced at each other and laughed.

"Kink's not bad. It spices up your love life," Casper said.

Val whipped open his bedroom door and walked to the top of the stairs. "For Christ's sakes, shut the hell up!"

"Marty started it!" Rafe said.

Val glanced at me.

I shook my head. "Raphael started it."

Val rolled his eyes.

Bailey saved my paper and followed me downstairs. Between my brothers and cousins, we wouldn't get any work done. I plopped on the couch and smacked Rafe in the head with my cast.

Rafe rubbed the side of his head. "Christ, Marty! Watch where you swing that thing."

"Your head got in the way."

Rafe shot me a dirty look.

I shrugged. "Where's everyone at?"

Before anyone answered, Pat and Rowan, walked into the house, carrying plastic bags.

"Where were you?" Rafe asked.

"Where the hell do you think we were? We were grocery shopping." Pat set the bags on the table.

A few minutes later, Romeo entered with Sage and Leokadia, carrying bags.

"Remind me never to shop with the girls ever again," Romeo said.

"It wasn't that bad," Sage said.

Romeo set the bags down and turned to Sage. "Baby, I love you. But I refuse to shop with you."

Rafe and I snickered.

"Why?" Sage asked.

"Because Romeo hates shopping," Pat said, emptying bags.

"Say what?" Sage asked.

"It's true. Romeo hates shopping with a passion," I said.

"Only because the girls won't leave his stupid ass alone," Rafe said.

Romeo held out his palm to Rafe while looking at Sage. "I told you."

"Is that why you kept hiding behind the displays?" Sage asked.
