Tylor
I had been wondering what was happening to her. I sprinted through the narrow path, searching for her. Panic made my stomach nauseous. Anxiety overcame me when I couldn't able to find her. I ran, pushing my legs harder and harder. Where the hell did she go?
Sun is setting, the sky is darkening. And this is when I heard a scream. I ran towards the noise. I know this voice. It's her.
Big knots formed in my stomach as my eyes darted toward her. She is running towards the main entrance. What is she doing?
I ran "Alice?" I yell. But she didn't stop. "Alice stop" I yell again as I reach closer to her.
"Get out of my mind" she screams, closing her ears from her hands. It's like she is talking to that voice which whispering in her ears.
I grab her arm, pushing her closer to me "What is wrong with you?" I shout, half panting under my heavy breathing.
With her eyes flashing, her mouth twisted in rage as she pushed me away "Get off me" she yelled. It was so powerful that I knock back and hit the tree behind me. I felt an absolute rage boiling inside her. She rushes out of the campus. Shit. I followed her.She is running towards the forest-looking area, stones are cracking beneath us. Everything is so dark, with no sign of light or anyone. I can hear the voice of birds. This place is extremely quiet. I've never seen this place before. She began to pant but couldn't stop until she reach the river or maybe stream. I have no idea. This stream is big and quite deep. My breathing is fast. My legs wobble and a bout of dizziness strikes my senses because of running.
I walk closer, looking around the area. While taking slow steps toward her, I say in low voice "Alice, look at me,". And she did.
When she turned to me her eyes are filled with tears. I feel a brief thrill of fear in her eyes "What is happening to me? That voice keeps coming. And I can hear them all the time. And it frustrates me like a hell. It was like my head had exploded". She paused "I'm so scared, Luke" she cried. "I'm so scared" she repeat while crying.
Terror shot through me. My heart thudded louder and louder. I moved to her, holding her by her shoulder, "Whatever this was, we'll figure it out together" I assure her. And pull her into a warm hug. This time she couldn't push me. She holds me back and starts crying. And I won't stop her. Because maybe this will make her feel better. After a moment, I lean back, watching her as I hold her face "Everything will be okay. You're not alone in this. I'm with you" I say. This is when everything stops. My eyes lock with her. And my heart skip a beat. Her blue eyes glitter in the moonlight. Her heartbeat thuds slow and steady and I can hear that. Her face is so close, that I can smell her fragrance. A tingle spread throughout my body and warmed my heart.
My eyes dart to her lips, that pink beautiful lips. Damn, she's beautiful. No matter how hard I tried not to look at her. But I can't resist her. She's in my nerves, in my mind, in my heart. She's everywhere.
I lean closer, my heart pounding so hard "No matter, what the situation will be? I will always stay by your side" I whisper. She didn't reply, just watching me with her gorgeous eyes.
I was about to kiss her when something hit my mind. No, this isn't the right thing to do. No matter how much I love her. Still, I can't kiss my brother's girl not until she wants to.
I lean back, leaving space between us. Her eyes grew wide. She opened and closed her mouth, but no words leaked from her twitching lip. She looked confused or upset. I don't know.
I look away, "We should head back. It's too dangerous to be here at this time".
I start walking back to campus.
"Luke?" She calls my name. And I stop, pivoted my head towards her, as she continues "Thank you".
And I give her my slow smile. So did she.
