The next day Laura and I meet at the library before class to complete our assignment for Ancient History. It took me an hour to complete it after last night's incident, dad's letter, that gift, everything is still roaming in my head. I know, I need to talk to dad about everything he had told me in that letter but right now I need time to think. I want to share it with Laura but I don't think, it's the right thing to do. This is something which only my father can answer.

The day flies by and finally, it's time for Literature. I take my seat, while Laura sits with Eric in the backseat. Luke enter from the door, waving his hand at me while smiling. I waved to him too. He sits on a chair beside me.

"Had you enjoyed your birthday?" he asks.

I feel tightness in my chest when I heard him, his question reminds me again of the betrayal of my father. Taking a deep breath, I reply "Yeah, it was unexpected".

He lifted a single eyebrow and cocking his head to one side. He is about to speak something but our professor slides in and he stopped.

"Good afternoon class. Hope you guys doing well" she greets us.

The professor begins the class, by telling us the story of the betrayal of the princess to her kingdom. She loved one man who did not belong to any royal family. He was her father's captain of the guard, who used to protect the king.

In the middle of a professor explaining the story, the door creaks open and I hear my pounding heart as Dorian enters the classroom.

Several people murmur and some of them groan but quickly stop when he turns his head to them.

"Mr Wilson? what brings you here?" Professor asks. Dorian must have his reputation around the campus if professors know him.

"I got transferred to this class" he replied, holding a dark look on his face.

"Oh!......... Alright then take your seat" she replied.

Wait! Now he and I share a common class. Is that mean I'll meet him three days a week? No-no-no, it can't happen.

He nodded and turn to move when his deep blue eyes lock on mine and I worry that he heard me. What would he do if he had? I don't care if he did-its not like my word would hurt him because he already doesn't care if I exist or not.

He looks away and slides into the desk on the backside. I notice Luke's features changes, jaw clenching under his teeth and suddenly he sits next to me. I'm about to ask him but he replies before I open my mouth "I can see more clearly from here" he says as he watches me. I blinked hard, surprised by his choice of words. I look away from him. 'What the hell is wrong with him?' I ask myself. He moves closer and whispers in my ear "to Professor Mill, I can see her more clearly from here. What were you thinking?" I can see him smiling from the corner of my eyes. I roll my eyes "I already knew this".

In the middle of the class, I slightly shifted my gaze behind me and my eyes darted at Dorian. His gaze is on us but not on me but on Luke. He looks furious, nails biting into his palm. I can clearly see him grinding his teeth, like he'll kill Luke at any moment.

Before I turn, Dorian caught me staring at him. Shit! But he removes his eyes from me and turns his attention to Professor Mill.

~~~~~~~~~~
"That's all for today. I will see you all again on Wednesday" Professor Mill says and dismisses us.
"Ready for lunch?" Luke asks as I grab my notebook.
I nodded and he smile. But he narrows his eyes when we realize Dorian is walking toward us.
"Can we talk?" Dorian ask, it take me a moment to realise that he was asking me. What? He wants to talk to me.
"Umm...." I'm about to reply but Luke cut me off "Of course not, as you can see, we are busy right now" he replied.
Dorian's eyes snapped on him giving him a warning look but didn't say anything. And Luke was like 'Ok, challenge accepted'.
"Are you her personal assistant or something?" Dorian asks "She can speak for herself".
Luke smirk "Well! I know she can, but right now we are going for lunch, so bring your ass later" and then he grabs my wrist and pull me toward the entrance.
But Dorian stop him by grabbing his hand "Leave her hand" he commanded.
"And what if I don't" he returned in a challenging tone. Now they stood close to each other, face to face, chest to chest.
Dorian clenched his jaw. "Try it and then see what I'll do to you" he growls.
What the hell is wrong with them? They behave like a kid who is fighting for their turn like 'who goes first?' I know they fight for their ego. But right now, I'm stuck in this bullshit and I want to get out of this.
I squeezed myself into the space between them, pushing them apart with my hands.
"Luke, why don't you go first and grab your lunch and I'll join you in a minute," I tell him, hoping that he'll listen.
"But?" he asks, seems a little confused. "Please," I say again in a pleading tone. And then he leaves my hand, turns on his heel while staring at him and then walks away.
"You guys seem pretty close," Dorian says as he watches him go.
I didn't reply instead of that I ask "So, what do you want to talk about?"
He watched me for a moment and then open his mouth "Follow me" and start walking. I follow him. "To where?" I ask but he didn't reply.
We have been walking for about ten minutes in front of block B building and still, he didn't say anything. 'What the hell is his problem?'.
All of a sudden, he stops "Wait here" and disappears in front of the pathway before I can even think of a response.
He returned after ten minutes and handed me a burger and coke "Have it". I blinked, did he go just to grab something for me to eat.
"Thanks," I say and then sank to the ground. "Will you have something to say or you are just wasting my time?"
"Finish this first" he replied as he sits beside me.
"Great," I say under my breath sarcastically.
After my so-called lunch, I pull myself to my feet and asked him once again "Do you really have something to say? If- No, then I'm going".
He grabs my arm "How long do you know him?" he asks.
"What?" When I turned around to face him, he is only a few feet away and has a stony expression like he always has.
But then he releases my hand "Nothing" he says as the bell ring.
"No, tell me, whom are you talking about?" I take a step forward so I am face-to-face with him, surprised by his sudden question.
"It's time for your class" his eyes seem cold and flinty. His shoulder brushes mine as he walks away. And I can feel my heart pounding against my chest. And this is when a blur of memory flashes in my mind 'I'm running with a little boy similar to my age, begin to tire but still, we won't stop. We reach the end of the street. "We need to hurry," he says under his hard breathing. I nodded and we push our legs to go faster'.
For a few moments I forget everything, his touch feels familiar to me. I don't know, how? But it's like I know him, I've known him for a long time. What the hell was that? I ask myself. That boy? Is that him?
