I stare at my mother's massive mansion, surrounds by huge white marble pillars. And have a large fountain before the entrance door. Large numbers of windows lining the wall, night had fallen. And I'm watching the huge door next to me, the place which I hate the most.

I entered the long hallway, too quiet for my footsteps. I hate this place. I hate the fact that I belong here. I hate being here, it suffocates me. I hate that lady, who was known as my mother. For a year, I meant nothing to her.

I turned down another hallway and studied the finely crafted sword. It's shimmering and shaped like an eagle which used to be mine but now hanging on the wall like a bloody decorative piece. I hate her.

I passed the series of wooden doors and stopped before the set of the red and black glass door so huge that it required two-three people to open it.

I smirk as the door groans open to reveal a throne room. She knew that I'm here.

A glass chandelier shaped like a grapevine occupied most of the ceiling and is the only source of light in this dark room. I looked as six guards appear at the doorway. I moved further.

Fourteen guards, plus my mother's personal dog, the Captain of Guard. Edwin Watson who ordered to be with me till his death. But for me, he's my best friend who always stays by my side although if he has to choose between me and my mother, he'll choose to be her captain of the guard instead of being my friend. She took everything from me, everything. And I hate her for that.

The red royal emblem is embroidered on the beast of the black uniforms. They are the members of the Royal Family's guard, ruthless, fearless, lightning-swift soldiers trained from birth to protect the royal family and ready to kill anyone they asked for.

I'm surprised to see everyone bowed to me. I shake my head and laugh. When did I become a member of this royal family?

I clenched my jaw as she came into my peripheral. On an ornate redwood throne sat a cold-hearted lady. My mother. Her eyes go narrower as she saw me coming in.

I'm standing in front of the Queen of the Malign.
