184. Have you ever seen the gem foods?
Those foods that look too good to eat,
Like jewels that sit on the plate, beware
Are they great, or pretending to be?
Just try a little bit passed your lips
Go on try it out, surely others have and aren’t dead, yet?
(To try and eat something different each week is a good way
To appreciate multicultural views. Do you get that Alice?)
185. Have you ever been to a sushi train?
Where those plates whiz past so every fast,
Quick pick and choose which dish, to consume
Little mouth full you need more than one or two
We can only thank the Japanese, for this train
Now seen everywhere, raw fish and seaweed, oh yes…
(I am sure the Japanese must have mermaid blood?)
186 Oh if all the world lined up all the varieties
Of Apple trees, I am very sure that they would
Circle the circumference of this globe,
How many different Apples can there honestly be?
Can we really thank the bees?
Are we genetically modifying this incredible fruit ourselves?
(Impossible thought here Alice, is it really true?)
187. Impossibility must be seen, humanity eats incredible amounts
We consume so much in the west, day in day out we eat mountains
Many of us battle the bulge, and share tyre ourselves, while others starve
Our prices of food are maintained by waste, so much is tossed away
Dumped by truck loads when a glut season has made the day
Impossible? No unfortunately, this impossibility is so very true.
(Alice it is all to do with dollars, but it makes no sense)
188. Yet another thing about what we eat and when
Is so culturally derived, so much so that some
Foods you find taboo, is just the thing, for someone else.
Many also believe that religion stated what is good or not
Maybe so, strange that we fight over these differences
For me it is just a sharing way to discover how another just is
189. The most impossible thought
About food is today some believe
That we lost our golden age of humanity
When we ate the flesh, of animals instead of just greens
