Spring will break down the bond will come we see
Persephone within her mother’s warm embrace be
Raped, abused, abducted too, by Hades and cruelty
Incredible she lives with Death, in the Underworld
Never to see the sun all her children, born blind but bold
Grieve still twisted and deceived by pomegranate seed.
Impossible though it may seem
That this old thinking still beams
Down through western time
As still we relate this crime
Of trickery of Uncle over niece
Of her children they must be released
Though no fault of theirs twisted and deformed
All they wish is to be blessed
With sunlight and not death
Allow Persephone’s family
At least some time up above
So they can now finally be loved.
Impossible to really know
How long the twisted form
That hunch back of Notre dame
Called to pull the bell
Now in this age were tolerance reigns
His twisted form wouldn’t be pointed out with scorn
Impossible to really understand
Tales of dark vampire kind
If in fact be true to form
That human need of fresh blood indeed
Evil stories form our world
Now they have been given stories of love.
Impossible though it seems
We need our monsters to scream
That fear seems necessary
And are we still sacrificing
Young lives all through time
Now all is revealed and nothing must hide.
