236. What if this one day in the week,
We could all just open a door and have a peek
At times gone before, all random by the way
And as we look, we get drawn in and stay
Our only way back home then will be if we
Can identify what that time did wrong or right
(Alice we might not get home and be stuck to roam
In the past and, wander around lost to the here and now?)
237 Again I look at the moon,
And again I think why we just don’t count
The months by this light
As it waxes and wanes it is the perfect clock
Pulls the tides in and out
Once this was all humans had to measure days and nights
(Words wave here Alice, in and out visually pleasing really
Unfortunately no rhythm or rhymes, just the visual effect)
238 Moon fertility how can that be?
The Moon is lifeless not a single thing can grow
In the dust and thin atmosphere there
Like a little block of cheese, if you please
Without the mould yellow then pale cream
The moon and imagination what a team
239 Just think if the man in the moon really was true
He would really be sitting up there laughing loud
Smiling contently that he is up there looking down
On an Earth Rise oh what a marvellous artwork
He would be able to paint, that beautiful blue
This I know he would do a truly amazing sight
240The moon in the past has been named
Selene or linked to that Huntress, Dianne
Artemis some call her, arrows silver light
Shafts straight through the trees
Giving magical imaginings of midsummer
Night dreams, Shakespeare knew
All about the power of the moon
241 I have a bone to pick with poetry
Why oh why must we all swoon
At the moon in June, really cliché
But then who can we blame?
For it seems that June is the month
Lovers just romance for the weather is full bloom.
(So again I can just blame the moon? Really Alice it is impossible.)
