The commotion from the courtyard faded away behind her as Jasmine raced through the field and got to the entrance of the Forest of Magnus - out of breath and eager to gain entry.
The treetops swayed in a rhythmic style in the breeze as they assessed the visitor,
"It's me, Princess Jasmine" she confirmed to the empty pathway in front of her.
The sunlight tried to penetrate the dense treetops without success, only gaining limited access through small gaps in the branches.
Streams of thin glittery light beamed into the mysterious space as Jasmine stood, grounded to the spot as she waited impatiently for something.
She glanced left and right before squinting her eyes, trying to focus on something in the distance.
"Thank you" she smiled looking upwards as she clapped her hands in glee.
The excited princess crept forward to get a closer look at the magical occurrence happening in front of her with pure exhilaration.
Specs of white light hovered a few meters above the path in the distance, sparkling like silvery guides, helping to light the way.
The particles of lights danced around the borders of the path before stopping and floating at the entrance.
Jasmine cautiously stepped forward and faced the specs of light with hypnotic enchantment.
The particles of lights began to rise from the ground, creating a swirling sphere around the entranced girl.
Picking up speed by the second, they cocooned the princess in a ferocious ball of animated light that increased in brightness with every poke and connection with her still body.
Jasmine swayed and gasped for air as the blood drained from her previous rosy cheeks and her rose-blushed lips began to turn an icy blue shade.
She could feel the light invading her body, draining her energy and she dropped to her knees with exhaustion.
The light continued to swirl around her body as though it was searching for something before she managed to mutter,
"Amica' with the last bit of energy she could muster.
Her long black eyelashes fluttered uncontrollably as she drifted in and out of consciousness.
"Not the best idea, princess" a voice sounded above her.
"Who -" she stammered, feeling herself being lifted off the ground before her body finally gave way and she slipped into unconsciousness.
