Chapter 11: Stupid beautiful voice and amazing eyes

*Maddy's POV*

I've survived..barely.

The guilt has been slowly eating at me.

Today is Saturday. My date with Harry is tonight. But rather than feeling excited, I want to curl up in a ball and cry. I can't explain why I feel so bad. I think I should tell him about my assistance with the article, but my mom might possibly kill me.

So to make myself feel better, I'm moping around my room, looking for an outfit to wear, while feeling bad for myself. I find some black shorts and my favorite pink shirt. I curl my hair into tight spirals, and put on some mascara. I tug on some black sandals that show off my new pedicure.

When I'm done I take a look at myself in the full length mirror. I would've said I looked stunning if I still didn't feel so guilty. I glance at the clock and see that it's 4:55. Great...

The sound of the doorbell ringing sends my heart into hysterics. I don't walk downstairs. Not yet. I take a few calming breaths, and wipe my sweaty palms on my shorts.

My mum walks into my room a few moments later. She narrows her eyes at me. "Harry's here. Be good. Don't try anything funny. This'll be great for the article if some people see you at the concert with him. Now hurry up." She spun on her heel, and stalked out of the room. I exited my room, and descended the stairs. Harry stood by the door patiently. When he heard my approach, he looked up and grinned at me, dimples indenting his cheeks. I groaned inwardly. How come he was so happy?

"M'lady." He said while holding out his arm for me to loop mine through. I ignored he offer, and walked out the front door alone. I swear I heard him chuckle. I walked to his car, and hopped in the passenger seat. Harry got into the drivers side and started driving.

"How have you been?" He asked awkwardly. He was obviously trying to make conversation.

"Good." I replied.

"Excited for the concert?"

"Nope."

"You look nice."

"Thanks."

He sighed and ended our one way conversation. We drove in silence until we got to the concert arena. It was probably smaller than where they usually played, but was still able to fit a good number of people. We drove up some back road, and ended up in a private parking lot. Harry parked the car, and got out. I didn't wait for him to come open my door. I jumped out, and started walking towards where I thought the door would be.

"Other way, Maddy." Harry called. I spun to face him. He had a smug look on his face. Sometimes I just wanted to hit him. I followed him to a door, and he used a key card to enter. We walked into the brightly lit hallway.

"C'mon." Harry whispered. He grabbed my hand and started tip toeing down the hall. His hand was big and strong. But it was warm and comforting too. I laughed as he tried to sneakily walk. We made it to a room that said 'ONE DIRECTION' and had a big gold star on the door. Harry opened the door, and four eyes turned on us.

"There you are!"

"Hazza!!!!!"

"Bout time."

"Bring any food, mate?"

All the boys spoke at the same time. Then they saw me. They looked confused, glanced at our hands, which were still clasped together, and seemed to understand. I had forgotten I was still holding Harry's hand. I slowly slipped out of his grasp. My hand felt cold without his.
