Eren follows behind Levi like a kid who's on the verge of throwing a tantrum. As they speed walk through the halls Eren whispers, "You didn't have to kill him. He was being compliant."

"He wasn't being compliant enough. We don't have time to deal with him, we need to find out where Historia is."

The boy is silent and they walk for a few minutes before they are about to turn a corner. Immediately, Levi holds Eren back from passing the corner as he sees two servants talking to each other. Just barely do the women's voices reach their ears but they of course can't understand it.

The servants keep walking, and Eren turns to Levi, "We should follow them."

"Why?"

"When I was with Historia she taught me some Norwegian words-"

"What? You didn't think to mention this before??"

"Jeez, I forgot most of it, that's why. But one of the servants just said the words princess and bedroom. I think she's going to Historia's room or maybe she's in charge of cleaning it."

Levi weighs Eren's words and peeks around the corner again. If they didn't move now they were going to lose sight of the girls. "How sure are you?"

"Maybe like 35.67%"

Despite the oddly specific number he nods his head, "I can't believe I'm saying this but 35.67% will have to do for now."

They begin to tail the women with urgency and sure enough, they reach a set of double doors guarded by two extra guards. Their uniforms are different from the ones that the two intruders wear and so they assume that they must be royal guards. If that was true then they were guarding the royal wing similar to what was in Vyrena's castle.

The servant girls begin speaking but one of the male royal guards shakes his head and takes whatever is in their hands. Were the servants trying to give Historia something but denied entrance at this time of the night?

Even despite the language barrier both Levi and Eren can tell that the girls are annoyed by being denied and they quickly walk away and disappear out of sight. Once gone, the royal guard who had taken away the item from the girl, says something to his partner before opening the door to walk into the assumed royal wing.

Levi is about to step forward but Eren pulls him back with a swift hand on his shoulder. "We can't go through those doors. There's still a guard there and I know that you see him, Levi."

"Yes obviously, I'm not blind."

"So are you going to kill him too?"

"I'm doing anything to get through those doors now before we lose sight of the other one." Levi could feel it; his heart was hammering so hard in his chest as if his entire body was screaming at him that Historia was behind those doors. He just knew it. Shaking off Eren's hand Levi steps out of the corner with his hand on the hilt of his sword tied to his waist. But Eren's words tickle the back of his head and so instead he walks out normally, hoping that the uniform would allow for them to see if they can at least talk to the royal guard first.

The soldier sees Levi round the corner and then Eren and begins speaking to them in Norwegian.

"Do you happen to speak Engl-" Levi can't even finish his sentence before the royal guard pulls his sword out and rushes towards them.

If Levi were just a regular soldier he wouldn't have had enough time to react before the sword pierced his chest. But thankfully he wasn't and swiftly he sidesteps, grabbing Eren's hand who was directly behind him, and pulling him out of the way in time too. Before the guard can turn around for another attack Levi kicks his back, creating further distance between the two, and pulls his sword out of its sheath.
