After Levi assures you that you will be training everyday after breakfast in the same manner you can't help but groan. Not only did that mean that you practically had no freedom for the entire day because of your self defense training with him after breakfast but also because of Hange's premonition training after lunch. It meant that the only time you would have to do what you wanted was after dinner, and tonight you had to give up some time to meet with Eren.
Lunch goes by uneventfully as Zeke seems to have recovered, from yours and Eren's charade and he doesn't even talk at all. That makes you smile all throughout the meal. You had definitely paid him back for what had happened the day of the musical. As you're about to excuse yourself for your first training session with Hange, Eren grabs your wrist and whispers into your ear a reminder about your meeting with him after dinner. Damn, you thought, he was doing really good at selling this. Your eyes immediately fly to Levi's. Now that you guys had decided to give whatever this was a chance you knew that your deal with Eren was going to start to take a toll on him eventually.
You reassure him that you haven't forgotten and when he's satisfied with your response he lets you go. Levi hadn't looked at you the entire interaction just faced ahead as usual with a blank face. Maybe you didn't have to worry about him at all. After all, he was a trained soldier, he could handle his emotions well, especially when everything was riding on the fact that no one could ever find out about you two.
As Levi follows behind you to Hange's office you wonder what was so important that Eren couldn't wait to tell you about it tomorrow but had to tell you tonight. You dismiss the thoughts and sigh, you'd have to worry about it later, you had to face your biggest obstacle here first: your premonitions.
You raise your fist to knock but Hange tells you to come in before you can complete your action. She gives a lopsided grin as both you and Levi walk in. He takes his post by the door as you sit across from her at her desk.
"Did you see us coming in your premonitions?" You ask curiously and she chuckles.
"Don't be silly Y/N, I heard your footsteps in the hallway."
You nod and you both stare at each other in awkward silence. She doesn't say anything as she just stares into your eyes for a few seconds.
"Oi, Hange," Levi calls from behind you, "Are you guys just going to stare into each other's eyes for the entire lesson?"
"Why?" She responds finally tearing her gaze from you and looking to your guard, "Jealous she'll fall for me instead of you?"
He sucks his teeth but doesn't say anything else. Hange stands up and walks around to the front of her desk where you are and places a soothing hand on to your shoulder. Immediately chills take over your body and you shiver slightly from her touch.
"I was searching your eyes Y/N, for any doubt that you had about your premonitions. Before, I felt that you didn't view them as a blessing but as a curse and I wanted to see if you still felt the same after knowing that you can master it."
"And?" You turn only your head around to gaze up at her slightly towering over you, "What did you find in my eyes?"
She smirks and gives a slight "hmmm," before the grip on your shoulder tightens. "Turn around and close your eyes," she orders and you do as she says following her instructions to a T. It seems like all today was was people ordering you around and to be honest, you didn't quite hate it. You liked the feeling of for once handing the reins over to someone else.
"Now tune us out, focus on nothing but the sound of my voice and my voice only. The speedy footsteps of maids and servants passing in the hallway, the glare of the sun shining on your face behind your eyelids, the steady breathing of Levi and I behind you, even the slight whistle of the wind through my open window, none of that exists. Only pitch black darkness and my voice. Don't picture me in your mind as if I am talking beside you, don't pay attention to the pressure I'm putting on your shoulder, none of that matters. And when I stop talking, just bask in the emptiness, the pitch black nothingness."
