"As I've promised, I'll get you that meeting sometime soon. However, are you sure that that's the right way to go? I shudder to think but if we consider every option, the fact that we know the assassin is close to the king..." Levi begins and it doesn't take much for you to follow his train of thought.

It's only logical to assume that even if the assassin isn't Erwin it doesn't mean that his hand might not be in the mix.

"In my dream, it's not clear whether the assassin is a man or woman, however, I clearly remember Erwin trying desperately to save the King. I can't quite remember why he was so far away or even why he couldn't reach him in time, but the cry that he lets out, I can't forget that gut-wrenching sound. He's not responsible, I promise." You explain, "I've only seen the King's assassination once and from my own point of view so I'm afraid the actual dream won't be that helpful. I think if we're going to search for clues we're going to have to investigate in the present or somehow I'm going to have to have the same dream again from another pov."

Levi nods his head and you see him in deep thought before he speaks again, "The fact that we know Erwin is innocent helps a lot. With his planning and my skills, there's no way we can't stop this from happening. It's just a matter of planning it right, one wrong move and it'll all come true."

You sigh and nod, you hated to admit it but you guys couldn't afford a mistake. Even a small slip-up could cause the horrible events you had witnessed to snowball into effect and actually unleash the world into mayhem.

Suddenly Levi snaps his fingers and jumps up from where he was sitting on your desk with realization. "Hange!" He exclaims with a little too much excitement.

Your own eyes widen as you understand what he's trying to say. Of course! It surprises you that you hadn't caught it alone. Somehow, someway, Hange knew about your premonitions and even had told you to come to her if you needed help. She could be the missing piece to the puzzle. If she knew about the dreams, then not only could she help in investigation and planning but maybe she could tell you more about why you were having these strange premonitions in the first place. Maybe she could even help to guide you to see the king's assassination again to collect more clues.

"We have to go see her-" You stand up excitedly but suddenly your legs feel weak and you almost fall to the ground. Levi's fast reflexives allow him to catch you before you actually land and you hold onto him as he leads you to your bed.

"Not so fast, Miss Y/N, we've both had a long day. It can wait until tomorrow." He carefully lays your head onto your pillow and the rest of your body follows. Your body is exhausted and your mind is reeling with so many new possibilities that it's hard to even keep your eyes open. You notice that you haven't changed into your nightgown, but you're too tired at this point. Once Levi places the covers over you he begins to walk away when you suddenly grab his wrist. He turns around in surprise and you also are in shock at how your body seems to move on its own.

I'm already in this deep, I might as well, you think. "Levi, you must be exhausted too. Come lay with me."

His eyes widen at your words, here you were willingly inviting him to bed. Of course, it was innocent, he wouldn't dare touch you in that way when you looked as if you were about to pass out any second. Perhaps your mind had already shut off and you were just doing this out of pure instinct. He knows he can't but he also doesn't want to disappoint you. Not after he had pushed you away after the kiss and he saw how every insecurity was clear on your face.

He turns around and sits at the edge of the bed. He slowly removes his dark brown boots and places his feet on the bed so that he is sitting up straight with his back against the headboard.
