It's D-7 of your wedding date and everyone's starting to feel the pressure. You feel a gentle shake on your shoulder but you ignore it by groaning and cuddling deeper into Levi's naked chest. The rumble of his soft laughter vibrates from his chest and shakes your body before his hands rock your shoulders again.
"Miss Y/N~~" He coos into your ear, "Sasha's going to be here soon. Plus, I think you'll want to see this."
The thought of something exciting forces you to open just one eye and find Levi looking at you through your hazy vision. You rub your eyes so that you can see clearly and just before you finish he places a kiss onto your forehead, "How'd you sleep?"
"Like a baby. You?" You yawn while covering your mouth.
"Got a solid two hours on my own," He sits up now that you're off of his body and picks up the sword that was laying next to him to attach it properly to his hips. Now that he was guarding you during the night he couldn't take Hange's pills to fall into a deep sleep. Usually he fell into the lightest possible sleep, the slightest footsteps outside or the wind whistling too loudly waking him.
You sit up on the bed and watch as he gets completely dressed, taking note of the deep bags under his eyes. When he catches you staring at him however he smiles, "Look outside, it's what I wanted to show you."
Scrunching your face in confusion you get up out of bed, pull the curtains back and gasp in delight at what you see past the French doors. The beautiful courtyard that you were used to seeing bare was covered by a sea of white as big chunky flakes of snow fall lazily to the ground. The wind whistles past your ear and you turn to Levi excitedly, "Snow?!"
He nods, "I know it doesn't snow in Asiko so I thought you'd want to get up a bit earlier to take it in before Sasha comes."
You nod excitedly and he turns around for a few seconds to look for both of your shoes when the sound of the French doors opening makes his ears perk.
"Miss Y/N!" He warns but you're already outside barefoot. He can't help but chuckle to himself as you immediately run back inside and shut the doors.
"Why is it so cold that it feels like fire and why didn't you warn me?" You huff, jumping up and down to stop your feet from feeling numb.
Levi shakes his head and places your shoes in front of you, "I was about to," He tries to hold back his laughter as he dusts the few flakes on your head off before wrapping his royal guard cape around your body, "See what happens when you don't listen to me."
You thank him and this time get a bit more bundled up, wrapping his cape tighter around you before he leads you outside. Both of you watch silently as the snowflakes fall onto the courtyard and admire its beauty. This was nothing like you had ever seen before and you were so happy that you got to experience it with Levi first.
Turning to him, you watch as the tip of his nose, cheeks, and ears get more and more red and this time you know that it's just because he's cold. He notices your eyes on him and takes note of the tears starting to form in your eyes from the biting wind. He wipes them away, "Let's go back in, it's your first time you could get sick." He grabs your hand but you stop him.
"Just a few more minutes, it's too beautiful to not look at for some more time."
He gives a strange look but nods and stands next to you again.
"Your face is red," You remark, "You're not flustered so I guess it's the cold?"
"Don't worry I'm used to this shit already. It's you I'm worried about, this weather kills."
