You're a bit nervous to go to breakfast the next day. As Sasha dresses you in something a bit new, so many thoughts race through your head. Today was the first day that you and Eren would start acting like a real couple. You had no idea how far he would take it today, or how believable the complete 180 would be, but for some strange reason, you do trust Eren to take the reins.

After lunch, it was also going to be your first training session with Hange and you didn't know what that experience would be like as well. On top of all that, you hadn't had the chance to discuss anything with Levi after Sasha interrupted the both of you yesterday. Because you had woken up a little bit late, he had left as soon as Sasha came in which meant you wouldn't have any alone time until after breakfast.

A heavy sigh leaves your lips as Sasha puts your hair in an ornate updo.

"Is something the matter, your highness?" She asks without ceasing her duties. You look at yourself in the mirror, it seemed like the longer you stayed, the more Vyrenian you became. Before you had hated it but now you weren't so sure. Vyrena was beginning to feel like home.

"I want to start writing to my family," you demand, although it comes out a bit more like a suggestion.

"Oh, well of course. It has been some time, I'm sure your family would like to hear that you're ok. You can give me your letter whenever you want and I will personally deliver it to the wing of communications where it should reach your family in only a few days."

You nod your head. As expected, they were going to look through your letters. It wasn't like you were going to slander Vyrena but now you had to be even more aware of what you were going to write.

"I'll give you a letter by tomorrow morning."

You stand up just as she finishes and as usual walk outside to meet Levi who had been waiting patiently. He gives you a once-over as Sasha walks in the opposite direction of the dining hall leaving just you two in the huge hallway.

"You look more and more traditionally Vyrenian every day," he remarks stoically. There's no negative or positive connotation in his tone and you wonder if he preferred you one way or another. You're happy at least that he hasn't closed up on you like last time.

"Is that a good thing?" You question without turning around, hesitant to meet his gaze.

"It depends on who you ask."

There's a beat of silence as you approach the dining hall at a leisurely pace.

"Well, I'm asking you. Do you like me when I look more Vyrenian than Asikan?"

He doesn't pause before answering, "I like when you look happy."

There's no time to respond as you reach the soldiers guarding the dining room. They open the doors, and you can't help the small smile that plays on your lips at Levi's response.

Immediately you drop into a curtsey before the royals who are already seated and making small talk. You're the last to arrive and sit next to Eren as usual.

You guys make eye contact and for the first time, he gives you a smile and small nod as if to acknowledge your presence. You coyly smile back, you both had the same thought: it was game time.

King Grisha notices the positive change in atmosphere but doesn't say anything as he takes a bite of his food.

Surprisingly Eren speaks first, and even more shocking it's to you.
