Saving the wrong person 

Authors note; so this episode one shot is base of season nine episode 13 where  Haley jumped into a river but instead of Haley it's going to be Erin also I'm going to time jump it back to season four it will be a little bit after Jay moves in with Erin

Erin's pov; it's been a few weeks since jay has moved in with me at first it felt weird but after a week things were finally feeling normal especially after I mentioned to him about how I sleep with a lot of pillows, he was totally fine with it but ever since then I started to sleep with less pillows each night because I have my big pillow a.k.a. Jay right now right now I'm out walking by the river late at night when all the sudden I hear a car coming speeding up behind me so I dodge it and when I do it goes into the river without thinking much of it I jump in and try to save the people inside of the car once I dove into the water I swim to the car and was able to get the driver out pretty easily but when I tried to get the passenger out I had trouble, eventually within 10 minutes I hear the ambulance coming that someone called for me, so squad three got me and the passenger out of the water when they arrived

K= hey Erin are you okay
E= yeah I'm OK ( shaking)
K= hey Brett I think she's was in the water a little to long
SB= oh I I think she is developing hypothermia
GD= agree so Erin I need you to take off your wet clothes and get underneath this blanket when you're done
E= oh like Kelly do you mind leaving since I'm getting undressed and also Jay would be maybe a little mad if you saw me getting undressed
K= All right I will especially since she might hurt me
GD= good man ( laughs )
E= ( he leaves and she gets underdressed) oh my God I'm so cold where is my human heater named Jay at when I need him
SB= maybe he'll meet you at Med
GD= hopefully you will get Warm soon

We soon arrive within 10 minutes they take the driver into a trauma bay and I go get looked over by Natalie

NM= so are you warming up yet Erin
E= yeah I'm getting there
NM= that's good
P= hey Doctor do you mind if I come in
NM= not at all
P= hey Erin how are you
E= trying to get warm
P= well you're in luck I want someone with me that can help you get warm
E= Who did you bring
P= you'll just have to wait and see it's a surprise
E= that's not fair but please God let it not be Adam
J= well lucky for you I am not Adam
E= oh thank God it's you
P= I figured you rather have detective chuckles here in besides you need some clothes and I don't think you want anyone besides him to go through your drawers
E= no I wouldn't
NM= wait detective chuckles
J= don't ask
P= it's my nickname for him
NM= Oh okay so I'll go and run these test for you while you catch up with them
E= all right thanks Natalie ( she leaves)
J= so what made you jump into that freezing cold water tonight
E= I don't really know I didn't have time to think I just jumped
P= I think that couple is happy that you didn't think much about it and just jumped in
J= oh yeah you did amazing babe
E= um speaking of that couple any updates on them like how are they doing
P= well the couple that was in the car isn't really a couple
E= so they were friends
J= no they weren't
E= wait what were they then
P= we don't know
E= OK so how is the woman and  man doing
J= well the driver is doing good
P= but the passenger aka the   woman she was the one in the water too long she didn't survive
E= wait no way that can't be
J= yeah it is true i'm so sorry Erin
VH= ( yelling ) where is my wife
J= what is going on ( they go look)
N= you need to calm down sir
VH= don't tell me to calm down just please tell me where is my wife
E= hello sir I'm detective Lindsay I was the one who went into the river to save her
VH= OK so is she all right
E= i'm sorry to have to say this to you but your wife didn't make it she was in the water Way too long
VH= no this can't be happening ( starts to cry)
J= Sir I'm detective Jay Halsted first of all I am so sorry for your loss
VH= why thank you
J= so I have a question for you did you know the man that was in the car with your wife
VH= No I didn't know who is he
P= we are trying to figure that out
VH= can I please go see my wife now
P= oh yeah Doctor can you show this man to where his wife is
D= yes right this way
WH= hey platt, jay and Erin
J= what's up will
WH= so when the driver came in the nurses and doctors were checking him over and they found a gun on him
E= what he had a gun on him
WH= oh yeah security disarmed it and bagged it up so you guys can have it so here you go
J= all right thank you
P= we will get it into our system to see if it belongs to anyone
E= hey Will can you do something for me
WH= yeah anything
E= check to see if I can go home anytime soon
WH= I can do that I will be right back ( he leaves)
P= i'll meet you guys back at the district I'm gonna go get this gun looked at and see Who is it's registered too
J= all right
E= thanks platt
P= it's no problem ( she leaves)
J= so are you warming up yet
E= not yet maybe my human heater can warm me up
J= I would love to
E= but it's going to have to wait until we solve this case
J= all right that could work
WH= hey guys
E= hey will so what did you find out
WH= well Natalie said everything looked good so you are good to go
E= all right great
J= thanks Will
WH= it's no problem besides I want to be on my future sister-in-law's good side whenever I need something
E= oh really your future sister-in-law
J= he is just joking Right will
WH= no I wasn't because I know it's gonna happen ( he leaves)
E= you too are dorks
J= yeah but you love us
E= you I might love but I'm not sure about your red headed brother
J= I don't blame you there
