Authors note: this one shot is based off of two different episodes in the first episode of season three episode 22 where Erin and Jay come to our house where a whole family got murdered, but luckily one girl hid behind her older sister and survived so she was left without a family family and the second episode was season four episode 13 when the team find a dead young girl that came from a troubled group home and Jay had to go undercover to see what the problem was there, and he figures out with the help of this one girl, I did adjust the timeline a lot because they don't quite matchup that well but they will from my story saying so I hope you like it

Erin's pov:  for the last month and a half Jay has been talking about getting a new place since his lease on his place is getting ready to get renewed about a week ago he asked me to move in with him. I was a little shocked at first but once I thought about it, me and him spend all the time together anyways, so why not but why should we look for a new place when my place still needs to be paid off so I suggested to him to move into my place and he agreed so we have been living together for a a few days now
About two days ago me and Jay were working patrol because Platte told us to and we got a call about an shots fired at some nearby house so we went to it when we entered we noticed everybody was dead white when we were getting ready to call it in we noticed a little movement and there was a little girl that came up from underneath a dead body. She was left with no family . She was so scared she did bond with me. We are just found the person who killed her whole family so now we are just trying to find her someone to live with

AR= I'm so glad this case is over with
KA= I am with you Adam
E= I just feel so bad for Polly. Her whole family is dead. Where is she going to go now?
J= hey are you OK?
E= not really
KA= you did an amazing job with Polly Erin
E= why thanks Kevin I'm going to splash water on my face
J= all right ( she leaves )
AR= hey jay is Erin really okay
J= I think so cases that has kids always mess with her
AO= I think all cases involving kid hits everyone hard
KA= oh yeah
GM= hey Hank
HV= yeah, mouse
GM= Trudy just called and said the DCFS lady will be here within two hours to pick up Polly
HV= all right thanks mouse
GM= no problem
HV= hey jay where is Erin
J= I'm not sure she said she had to go to splash water on her face
HV= well could you go get her so we can get Pauly ready to go?
J= yeah, sure can ( he leaves )
HV= mouse let me know when they arrive
GM= Will do
J= hey Erin are you in here
E= yeah, I'm by my locker
J= are you OK still
E= not really jay
J= OK then tell me what is going on in your pretty little brain of yours
E= OK so I feel so bad that Holly whole family was killed and she has nobody
J= yeah, I think we all do
E= well I wish she didn't have to go into the system. It's unfair. I know how it is but luckily I had Hank come save me before I had to go into the system completely.
J= thank God for that maybe she will only be in foster care a couple days because maybe her family will come forward and want her
E= yeah maybe so did you just come and check on me or was there something else?
J= yes I wanted to check on you and also Hank wanted me to come find you because DCFS lady will be here soon like in the next two hours and he wanted you to get poly ready to go with her
E= all right thanks for checking on me
J= you are so welcome babe ( kiss )
E= and that's why I love you
J= and I love you too let's go

We go and check on poly and get her ready to leave with a child service lady about an hour and a half later

CSL= hello I'm here to see Sergeant hank Voight I am Chloe Lane with a child protective services
P= yes he is upstairs I'll have someone come get you?
CSL= all right
GM= hey it's mouse
P= hey mouse it's truly the DCFS lady is here
Can you come and get her?
GM= yes I sure can be down in a second
P= all right

Within two minutes mouse goes downstairs and comes back up with someone

CL= hello Sergeant Chloe Lane
HV= hank Voight nice to meet you Miss Lane
CL= same here, which it was under better circumstances but here we are
HV= same here
CL= so where is Miss Polly Carlson
HV= she is right this way
CL= all right ( finds Polly )
HV= hey Erin  and jay this  is Chloe Lane with the department of family and children service
E= nice to meet you I'm Erin
CL= same here is the poly are you ready to go?
PC= not really
J= everything will be OK Polly I bet miss Chloe found a great family you will go stay with
CL= oh, yes, they are great people we use them all the time and we need to place somebody an emergency situation
E= well that's good. Here is my number if you need anything call me anytime no matter what time I will answer the phone when you call me Polly
CL= all right let's go Polly ( starts to grab her) say goodbye
PC= I don't want to go ( pulls away)
I want to stay with  Erin
CL= I'm sorry you can't stay here you have to come with me
PC=( starts to get upset)  no I don't want to leave I want to stay with Erin
J= how about maybe give poly a few minutes to calm down and then try again
CL= all right then I'll go and get all my paperwork filled out and come back
HV= all right
PC= Erin you can't make me go I don't want to leave you
E= it will be OK
J= nobody will hurt you again poly trust me I'll make sure of it
