"I heard that you fell in love or near enough
I gotta tell you the truth, yeah
I wanna grab both your shoulders and shake, baby, snap out of it (snap out of it)"

I feel my phone buzz in my pocket, and I take it out to see who has sent me a message.

The name of my mum pops in my screen as I stare at the simple question she asked. We talk daily due to her still living in England, so her asking me how it's going every day has become a routine now.

I reply to her message, and we text a few more until she says goodbye, and that she'll call me tomorrow.

I put my phone back in my pocket, looking at the floor for a second before looking up again to see her walking towards me.

Her blue eyes meet mine as I smile at her. "Hi love." I say as I wrap my arms around her body. She hugs me back before looking up at me while still being in my arms.

"Hi babe." Holly says, pecking my lips. I kiss her forehead after that, and I keep hugging her while I wait for Harry to leave Ryan's office.

Ryan explained to me all he managed to investigate while he was gone while Harry was in the bathroom and I told him how things were going with Sienna, how we were friends and that I was starting to build some trust in our relationship.

It makes me feel bad sometimes, because I'm using her. She's the sweetest and most friendly person I've ever met, but still carries some weight in her back. I mean she and Brooke were best friends and for what I heard Brooke was the one that stopped talking to Sienna, and you can see it in her face how much that has affected her.

So I don't really know how losing another friend would affect her. I've never been good at knowing how other people feel, that's Harry's specialty.

That's the hardest part of this job, there has to be no empathy, or either you're going down. So as much as  how bad I feel for said Australian girl, I can't do anything about it, just shrug it off.

"How was your day?" Holly's voice takes me out of my thoughts.

I shrug, looking down at her."Alright, I'm tired though." I smile.

"Everything going alright with the case?" She says as one of her fingers traces my jaw.

"Yes ma'am." I snicker, making her smile. "But don't ask Harry that or he'll probably flip you off." I joke.

She rolls her pretty eyes."Leave him alone, he's trying his best." She shakes her head.

"Yeah, I know darling. Just worry about him...you know. He's just super stressed and I'm scared he'll fall back." I look at her.

"I know baby, but just be there for him, yeah? You're doing this together." I nod at her words.

"That reminds me, I'm taking him out for dinner." I say, and she pouts.

"You're going to abandon me?" She says with her big doe eyes.

"Stop, you know I can't say no to those eyes." I laugh, and she does too.

"I'm glad you're taking him out to dinner, you're a good friend Blake." She kisses the tip of my nose, something she has always done since we started dating a year ago.

I didn't come here looking for love, but when I first met her I knew it was either her for me or no one else. And I got lucky, very lucky.

I press my lips to hers, letting out a content hum as her hands get placed on my shoulders and one of mine grabs her jaw. My tongue traces her lips. Our mouths are moving in sync like there's no one around. We probably shouldn't be doing this at work, but everyone is almost gone and the hallway is empty.
