life has been extremely hard lately and I had the biggest writers block ever, im sorry for making you guys wait so much.
this is one of my favorite chapters ever, i hope the wait was worth it and you guys love it as much as I do. <3tw: self harm, talking about mental health/ panic attacks and cancer. if anyone feels uncomfortable with how this topics are addressed let me know. i basically write from experience most of the time, so my thoughts might not be the same as yours and that's totally fine.
enjoy <3
Harry Styles
I reread her message for a hundred time as I make my way towards the tables that are behind the university.
She wasn't lying, she hasn't come back yet and I don't know why that makes me feel kind of defeated.
I guess she felt like a distraction from what yesterday was. She was keeping my mind floating, but now that she left I feel like drowning again.
I watch Blake run a hand through his hair as he's taking his lunch out of his bag. It's a fucking shit having class in the afternoon, but it's what we gotta do. Or at least him, because Sienna is here.
I could perfectly go.
But here I am.
I type a message to her before I sit down in front of Blake.
He looks up and I smile at him.
"Hey." I say.
"Hi." He says.
We both fall silent, until we burst into laughing.
All the awkwardness we felt all these days is slowly disappearing. I don't want to be weird with Blake, he's like my brother.
Our laughs fade away after that as I take my lunch out of my bag. Blake is already eating.
"How have you been?" He asks me.
"Alright. And busy as hell."
"Tell me about it. Sienna and I have been stuck on the project and I'm exhausted." He drinks from his water.
"Well, I'm glad we are having lunch together like old times." I smile.
His fades a little, and he takes a deep breath.
"Harry I—I'm sorry for how I acted with you that night. I just—I got mad that you were going to risk everything for a—"
"Blake," I cut him off, "Let's forget it. You were doing what you thought was best for me, I can't be mad at you for that." I look at him.
He nods. "So we're good? Cause I missed having take out with you. You know Holly never lets me get it."
"Yeah. We're good. Let's stop this awkward shit. We're not like this at all." I smile.
"Okay. Thank god mate."
I take a bite of my food as we keep chatting like we haven't seen each other in a year. To be honest, I never had a fight like that with Blake, if you can even call what we had a fight.
We just lost contact for a few weeks, which is really much because we used to talk every day. When we were in high school, we would fight, but then one of us would go to the other's house and we would just play video games like nothing happened.
But I guess as we get older, we can't resolve everything by playing games. And also if the source of the problem was something like everything involving Brooke.
