"Cassie get up!" I heard a voice yelling across my room, only to find that I was woken up by Shay.

"Nope, not doing this today, nope not happening." 

"Cassidy Isabelle Pierce, your sister and all of your friends are downstairs waiting for you. It's time to enjoy our last day of summer!" Shay demanded, ripping the sheets off of me as I quietly got up.

"Fine, but just remember I hate you for doing this to me." I rolled my eyes in annoyance as I shut my door and began to change into some jean shorts and a tank top. It's honestly been a few weeks since I last dressed like a human person, but also a few weeks since my last job. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly concerned, but between cases it's just a big, annoying waiting game.

I walked down the stairs to be greeted by literally everyone, even Millie. We've all been hanging out a bit, and she's nice, I guess.

"Morning sunshine." Evelyn said, walking by with a plate of food.

"Morning guys." I yawned, walking into the kitchen and having a seat between Millie and Prescott.

"Cassidy, I was wondering if I could invite my friend Sydney to hang out with us while we go shopping today. She's chill." Millie asked, taking a sip of water.

"Sure, she's welcome to come with us. Also, you can call me Cassie if you want." I suggested, shifting my chair slightly.

"Thanks, Cassie."

It's just something about the way your name sounds coming from someone else. Rolling off of someone else's tongue. It's infatuating the number of times I've found myself liking my name more when someone else says it. You feel privileged to have had your name said by them. Millie might've just been added to my list.

"Cassie are we there yet?" Avery whined, looking out the window in anticipation.

"Yeah, in five minutes." I replied, turning on the road with Shay in the passenger seat.

As we pulled into the mall, everyone came out and we decided to go into H&M first since Shay saw some cute shorts that she wanted. After that, Millie and her friend Sydney were apt about getting these cute tops that were in Target, so we also did that. Once those few got what they wanted, Avery finally got to go to her store.

"Cassie it's this one! C'mon I wanna go to Claire's!" Avery cried out, running into the store as the rest of us followed.

"What are we looking for?" I asked, looking through the large display of earrings.

"Well, I definitely need some hair clips and a necklace for school." Avery reasoned, picking out a few hair clips and a sister necklace.

"Aww are those for me and you?" I wondered, holding it in my hand.

"No Cassie, it's obviously for Shay and I. Duh it's for us!" She sassed as she walked up to the register, pulling out a twenty-dollar bill from her crossbody bag.
