"You guys did not get a puppy!" Evelyn squealed as she saw me with Finn in my arms, Sydney, Shay, and Prescott following after her into the house. It was pretty cold out, considering fall was in full effect at this point.

"Sydney is that Shay's jacket?" Cassie asked Sydney as she glanced to Shay.

"Yeah, She outgrew it so she said I could have it, right Shay?" Sydney said nervously to Shay, who nodded in response. I shrugged off the situation as I directed my focus back to the group.

"Finn, meet your Auntie's, Shay, Evelyn, and Sydney, and your Uncle Prescott." I smiled as everyone came up to pet him.

"C'mon we have to get ready now!" Avery insisted as we all followed her upstairs to see all of her fancy makeup laid out on her vanity.

"Wow, this is quite the set-up Avery." Cassie smiled as she took a seat on Avery's bed, patting a spot next to her for me, and putting her arms around me as I sat down.

"I know! Millie said that I could do her make-up and she could do my hair!" Avery laughed, sitting at the vanity and looking through a few of her pallettes.

"Hey! I thought you said I could try and do your hair Avery!" Cassie asked, a look of fake saddness shown on her face.

"We can both do it." I sighed to which both of the girls cheered as everyone laughed.

Cassie was busy taking pictures of Finn while Prescott and Sydney were talking, Evelyn and Shay went off to the bathroom to do their own make-up. Avery and I spent a bit of time scheming our looks for a bit after we changed.

"How about this shimmer in the inner corners?" She asked, putting a bit on her brush and adding it, completing my make-up.

I she finished up, I looked in the mirror and finally realized why she spends so much time playing with her make-up.

She's pretty fucking good at it.

"Holy shit, I look so good!"

"Thank you!" She replied, beaming in a smile.

"Okay now that we're done with that, we should go get Shay and-" Cassie barely started before Evelyn walked into the room.

"Sydney, Shay's asking for you, she seems kind of upset." Evelyn frowned, moving over as Sydney nearly ran out of the room to the bathroom.

"Everything okay with her?" I asked, looking at them from Avery's chair.

"I don't know really. All I suggested was that we start putting on our costumes and she just started kinda freaking out." Evelyn said, Prescott coming up to hug her.

"I hope everything's good, she's been kinda distant lately." Prescott said.

"Yeah, I understand that." Cassie agreed, spraying some hairspray in her hair.

"I'm just going to wake Wyatt up from his nap, I'll be right back okay?" I said before I slipped out of the room.

I walked quickly to Cassie and I's room to wake him up, because if he oversleeps his last nap then it is a complete nightmare to get him to bed at night.

Yesterday, everything felt off. My dad is in jail, for supposedly threatening to kill someone. I don't know why, I'm not sure how.

If someone else was in my situation, maybe they would've handled it differently.
