Lucy
When I wake up the next morning I realise the situation we're in.
"Chloe," I say.
"Yeah." She replies.
"What are we going to do? Our phones don't have signal and mine is dead...." I begin
"Same here, mine died last night." Chloe interrupts.
"Well both of our phones are dead, we are lost in a jungle and we have no contact to anyone. Do you even know the name of the jungle we are in?" I start getting frustrated.
"Sorry, don't get mad at me. We need to think about a survival plan."
Yeah, your right." We go sit under a nearby tree and I have a sip of water from my backpack. Chloe does the same.
"I'm glad we saved our backpacks. We would have died of thirst by now. Let alone being killed by the lion." Chloe mutters.
"Poor, poor Joe" I whisper back. About an hour later a few arguments and ideas we come up with a few plans.
1 Try to find our way out of the jungle to civilisation, without being eaten, attacked or getting lost.
If that doesn't work well (if we aren't eaten) there's plan 2
2 Live in the jungle for a while until people come searching for us.
That's all we came up with. Come to think of it, food will be tricky so we will have to practise making and setting traps to catch something (hopefully!)
Chloe
After making up our minds we are going to try plan 1. We head over to the Jeep we left about 50 meters away and hope there are some useful gadgets inside that could come in handy. We find the following: Joe's cap, the radio, (but that's unfortunately been crushed by the lion), my camera( it must have fallen out of my backpack), some rope, a torch, Joe's pocket knife and a packet of biscuits. We were both so hungry that we ripped into the packet. After eating one I reminded myself and Lucy that we would need them for however long we were would be out here for. "Good thinking, I'll put them in my backpack." We search the Jeep once more and head off in the direction the Jeep had come in. I see some tyre marks so we follow them eagerly. After a good long hour we start getting cross and tired. The tyre tracks have led us no where and we have ended up going around in a few circles. We stop. "What do you reckon the time is Chloe?" Lucy asks as I lay my tired body against a nearby tree.
"Well using my geographical knowledge I would say, judging by the sun it's around 3:00pm. " We both laugh and smile tiredly at each other. It's been a long first day. Who knows how long we will be out here, or how long we will survive...
