Chloe
My eyes flash open as I hear a bang. Lucy sits up, "aaaaaaaahhhhh!" She screams and looks around for me. The moon is very bright and the stars give us some light so we can see a bit. I hold her hand and we take a look around. There's a massive storm brewing.
We are quite sheltered from the rain as we are under trees, but right now, in a big storm, I don't think it's the safest place to be! We call out to Juki, seeing if he's okay.
I see his dark shape scaling down the tree and he comes over. There's a wild look in his eyes. "Huge storm, never seen it like this. " He yells over the horrific noises, of the wind, rain, lighting and thunder. Lucy comes over and cries into my chest as I hold her tight. Juki comes over and joins the hug.
I laugh, in a moment like this, it seems like I am the brave one! Me, Chloe, brave!
Lucy has always been terrified of storms. I can't imagine how she'd be feeling now.
Juki seems really scared too, his eyes look into mine and they, I can tell, are really frightened.
"Let's go check out tepee." Some common sense takes over me and we go, fumbling through the jungle to find our tepee. "Wait!" The urge in Lucy's voice makes me stop suddenly. "Where's Leo?"
"It's okay," Juki takes over "He come back when storm over. " We keep going, Juki on one side of Lucy and me on the other. Her leg is still in plaster and I don't think the rain is doing it any good.

10 minutes later we find our tepee dripping wet, like all of us. We rescue our backpacks and our sleeping bags. They aren't dry but not too wet either. "Let's try and get some more sleep." I say. I'm really tired and it's still the middle of the night. I have always loved my sleep and I don't want to miss any now. We get as comfortable as we can under the wet tepee and Juki climbs the nearest tree, reassuring us both that he will be fine. I close my eyes but sleep won't come. The wind is howling outside and I hear more animals whining. I don't think they like this either. I hope Leo is okay. I wonder where he is.
Lucy is asleep already so I focus on my breathing and slowly, but surely, fall asleep too.Lucy
Shivering my body wakes me. I'm freezing. I stumble out of the tepee the best I can, only to find that the rain hasn't stopped. I'm pleased it's not bucketing down like last night though. It's only drizzling. I see Juki and Chloe but still no Leo. Where is he?
"Good morning you two." I say. They look up simultaneously.
"Good morning, Lucy." Chloe answers. "Are you okay? Your blue!" I didn't think I was blue. I look at my hands and realise Chloe was telling the truth. My hands are literally pale blue. I tuck them under my arms. "Any signs of Leo?"
"No." Juki answers quietly. My tummy rumbles so Chloe, Juki and I wander down to the river, looking on the way for some berries. I feel drops on my back and see that it's started raining heavily again. "How long will this last Juki?" I ask
"About 2 days." He sighs.
Chloe starts whistling and making noises. "Leo, Leo, come back. We are missing you." She yells over the rain that is now getting heavier and heavier. Our clothes are soaked and my hands are still blue. I look over at Juki's hands. They're blue too! The strange thing is, I'm not cold, like I was this morning. Even though it's raining the temperature out here is quite nice.
