Two Australian girls still missing somewhere in Africa....
For over 3 and a half weeks Chloe Jensen and Lucy Benton, two 15 year old girls have been missing near Johannesburg in Africa. Lucy had won a writing competition and had taken Chloe, her best friend with her to Africa. They were last seen in an apartment in Johannesburg. "We spoke to them on Skype the day before they went missing." Lucy's Mum cried. "They were going on a Safari." The police force in Africa have found a partly crushed jeep, from the Neggle Safari Tours and a buried body. Perhaps this is where they were last. Lucy was wearing dark blue jeans, a light blue t'shirt and brown boots. Chloe had denim blue jeans and a dark green top with black converses. If anyone has seen these one or even both of these girls please contact the police straight away. Some volunteers have been searching and the Australian army force is going searching today.I couldn't read anymore. My only sister and her best friend were missing! Still. Mum has gone into some type of sulky mood and Dad has been on the phone all day.
People keep bringing over meals and I have to answer the door. *ding ding* There it goes again. I'll go answer it. I run down the stairs past Mum and Dad's room. Mum is crying and I can hear Dad trying to comfort her. I open the door and it's our next door neighbour, Jean. She is about 70 and has a creepy cat. "Hello Jean. " I greet her politely. Lucy would be shocked! I've never been polite before. "Hi Tyler, I bought over another shepherds pie. I heard that you loved the last one. " she smiles warmly. The last shepherds pie was, well, I would not describe it as yummy. I spent the whole night vomiting in the bathroom! "Thanks Jean, but we already have dinner planned for tonight. How about you take it?" I try to convince her but my lying isn't enough. "No, no, no. " She laughs. " You need it. " I fake a smile and take the shepherds pie.
"Ok, well thanks Jean. " I go to shut the door but she stops me.
"Have you heard any news of Lucy?"
"No, we haven't. " I say, my smile disappearing.
"Oh, well have a nice day. " she leaves me and walks across our yard to her front gate.
There is no way I'm eating this again. I'll cook dinner myself. I've seen mum do it, I think I'll give it a go.Chloe
I open my eyes and try sitting up. It feels like my body is 200kg. I look over to where Lucy is. She doesn't look very good. She is lying up against a tree about 2 metres away. She keeps coughing, it sounds dreadful. I lean my back up against the tree behind me and look for Juki. I give up after about 10 seconds as everything is a bit foggy and I feel dizzy. My throat feels like it's on fire. I shut my eyes and fall into a sick sleep.Juki
I need to find help. The girls look terribly sick. Chloe is in a bad way as she is recovering mentally and physical from the elephant attack and Lucy keeps coughing. I run as fast as I can. Leo following, past the dam and through the jungle. I know my way well around here. All of a sudden I see a big metal thing. Something they call car. There is people dressed in dark colours surrounding it. Like they are making a plan. I haven't spoken to people in English much before, apart from Chloe and Lucy and I don't know if they are good or bad, but I need to risk it. My friends are in danger. I sneak out of the bushes and lift Leo into my arms.
