Wavelength POV

"No." Siege would not have any part of our plan.

Solar and I told the seekers our plan while Harmony and Frost were still asleep.

"What?! Why not! Out of everyone to object it's normally Solar!" I whispered shocked.

"I agree with my brother. I'm full of a few loose screws, I even wouldn't go near one of those sick bots." Flare shivered.

"Not to mention... we're talking about our Uncle's ship. Just touching it without permission is a death sentence. But you want us to steal it?" Eclipse shifted on the floor between her brothers.

I felt my shoulderpads droop. Eclipse and I looked at each other before looking away. I- I knew why she was nervous. The seekers held so much respect for their Uncle and Sire. To be told to backstab them... I wish I could relate, it would make compromising easier. But Magness is so overbearing and controlling, I don't care how he reacts to what I do; I've given up on that. Solar himself was feeling a bit off about this whole plan. But who am I to blame him as well? He's in the same boat as the trin. I sigh.

"What if we steal a different ship? It may have to be one in less than preferred condition, but it's still a ship." I offer.

I could tell that for Siege considering mine and Solar's plan a little more, even Flare and Eclipse looked a bit more at ease.

"How about everyone thinks it over?" Solar suggested in a quiet voice.

We all nod. On my chassis Harmony stirred while Frost shifted in his berthroom. What would happen to them if we left? I know we have to leave either way but, still. Yesterday's weight still felt so, everywhere. Like this sense of dread was in the air, dread of something more. But I couldn't put my digit on it. Eventually Frost walked out and I shook Harmony awake. The two walked into the kitchen commed each other about something. After a few minutes, Flare stood up to grab something to refuel with. Siege and Eclipse followed shortly after. Solar got up and looked at me. Neither of us could really blame the trin, but neither of us wanted to wait for a compromise. I followed him into the dining room and relaxed at the table.

"You know, you two look like some bots I met. By Primus I can't remember who though?" Frost chuckled to himself when he pointed to Solar and I.

We look at each other confused but decide to shrug it off. Probably just our Creators.

"How long are you bots staying for!" Frost grinned cheerfully.

"A few days unfortunately. We're terribly sorry but none of us want to mess with the crowds." Solar sighed.

"Ah. So you're a bunch of smart bots. Good!" He chuckled again and stood up.

I shake my head and look over at Harmony. She was frowning. Why was she frowning? A loud crash made everyone jump. I quickly stood up and sped walked to where the sound came from.

"By Primus. My ped gave out again? Huh. It's been doing that lately." Frost mumbled.

"Um? Lately?" Siege walked up behind me.

"Yeah. About five days now? I'm sure it's fine!" Frost chuckled.

"That's, not good?" Solar spoke up.

*It's not! I've already told you Carrier has been forgetting things...* Harmony signed when I looked down at her.

Wait, was... Was Frost infected?! I scoop up Harmony and quickly back away.

"Wavelength what the heck?!" Eclipse quickly moved away from my backpedaling.

"Guys! What if he's infected?! Peds don't just 'give out!'" I laugh nervously.

Harmony didn't move in my arms.

*I didn't want to believe it... I've tried not to all week... but Wavelength has a point...* Harmony signed.

Flare made a small whine as Frost scratched his helm.

"But I haven't left our house since... Well since..." He trailed off. "What were we talking about?"

Ah. There's the memory loss.

*Last week Carrier.* Harmony filled in.

"I did? For what?" He looked at his daughter a little worried.

*Just for a walk.* Harmony shrugged. *Remember? You use to take them all the time before you started spacing out.*

"Ah. Well then. You- You kids need to find a new safe place." Frost shifted awkwardly.

*No!! I'm staying with you!!* Harmony's door wings fluttered angrily.

"Nu-uh. No your not. I'm not about to let my precious little melody get sick." Frost all but put his ped down.

Harmony's optics watered and I hugged her tighter. My sparked ached to help her. Her own Carrier practically just kicked her out. Be it for her own safety and well being but, still. She's only 12...

"A- a bit extreme don't you think?" Eclipse shifted her peds.

Of course she's the first to say that. She never was a fan of unfair situations.

"I- It is. But I'm not settling for letting Harmony get sick. She will find somewhere to stay where she won't be infected. I'm sorry." Frost tried keeping his composure but started loosing it near the end.

Harmony let out a silent sob.

"Please Harmony. I can't do that to you." Frost started begging.

Harmony managed to nod, more coolant threatening to fall down her cheekplating.

"We'll find her a safe place sir. I promise you that, and we seekers rarely break promises." Siege politely ends the conversation.

The oldest Seeker quickly gets everyone out, but just before the front door closes we all hear Frost break down. The five of us stand around for a few minutes. What next? The streets might still be crowded and we have no clue where in the city is safe anymore. Solar and I locked optics. We were leaving. Tonight.
