Rory

"Do we need that many people going!?" I internally groan as Shane whines. Right now, he, along with many others, was trying to figure out who to send on this group run.

"It's five people Shane! It's not that much!" Andrea argues.

"Shane, it's not that big of a deal." Lori places a hand on his shoulder.

"It's not," I add on. "We're running low on things, this way we can bring back more supplies. then next run it can just be Glenn again." I fold my arms over my chest and rock from side to side

"She's right." Glenn agrees with me. Shane sighs and rubs his forehead.

"Fine." We all watch as he stomps off. I close my eyes and take a deep breath before turning to the group. Joining Glenn would be T-Dog, Morales, Andrea, and Jacqui.

"Got room for one more?" We all turn to see Merle walking over to us. Again, I internally groan. I didn't like him, Daryl was kinda cool.

"Uh, yeah, yeah, sure." Glenn stutters. I cover my mouth to suppress a giggle.

"Great, when do we head out?"

"In like an hour, met by the entrance way." Morales answers

"Great, see you then." I watch as Merle walks away with a small grin. Something didn't feel right but I pushed it off.

"Alright, y'all be safe. I'm gonna go help Carl and Sofia with school work." I give Glenn and Andrea a hug. I wave to the rest of them and walk off. My eye catches Merle and Daryl at their camp.

Merle looks like he's rambling about something and Daryl is listening to him, not that he wants to. I look away when Daryl makes eye contact with me. I smile as I approach the two children.

"Hey guys, whatcha workin on?" I sit down at the picnic table. I trace the letters with my fingers.

"Just some English." Sofia answers.

"Boring!" Carl giggles at my loud shout of the word.

"That's what I said, but mom said I had to do it." Carl rolls his eyes.

"Well, it is good to keep up with it," I tell him.

"Yeah, but I should be protecting the group. Dad's not here now, Shane can't be everywhere at once." Ok... good point, but he's 12.

"Yeah, but you're a kid. They want you to be a kid. Not grow up to fast." I frown, God, I wish I could be his age again.

"What about you? You're only 4 years older than me. But you get included in the decision-making."

"Decision-making is so much different than going out and putting my life on the line. I only help with planning runs, I don't carry a weapon, and I don't go on the runs. All you have to worry about is homework and doing your chores." I watch as he rolls his eyes, once again.

"We all do our part in this group, your part, and Sofias part is to be a kid. Soon enough you'll be old enough. I promise buddy." I ruffle his hair before standing up. "I love you, Carl." I plant a kiss on his forehead.

"Love you too Rory." I give him a small smile and walk away to my tent, which was a mess. Clothes were everywhere, and I had random food cans in there. From midnight snacking, what babies want. Babies will get.

I clean up quickly, placing my clothes into a bag, Ricks jacket on top of it. I pick up my thing of prenatal vitamins, not having taken one yet. Only to notice that I was almost out. I sigh, throwing one in my mouth before closing the container and putting it next to my sleeping bag.

I walk out of the tent and smile when I see Andrea. I quickly make my way to her, one more person knowing can't hurt.

"Andrea!" She turns and looks at me.

"What's up Rory?" I stop in front of her, and I look around to see if anyone is close enough to hear.

"I need a huge favor from you, you can't tell anyone anything though." I bite my lip and watch as she nods.

"I need you to look out for some prenatal vitamins for me, the gummies." I watch as her face turns to realization. Her eyes trail down to my belly before looking back at me. My belly was getting bigger and bigger by the day. I was wearing bigger shirts to cover my bump.

"Congratulations, and yes I will look out for them." I pull her into a hug.

"You're the best." I notice the rest of the run group heading to the entrance of the quarry. "You better go before they leave you," I tell her, she looks behind her and sees them.

"Alright, I'll be back later." She starts to walk backward. "Stay safe, keep Amy calm!" I laugh a little

"Will do!" I yell back. She turns around and jogs to the group. I watch as they walk down the quarry road. I turn myself around and make my way to the fire pit.

I spent the rest of my day with Amy, doing what Andrea said, and tried to keep her calm. But my nerves started to kick in when the sun starts to set and they aren't back yet.

"They'll be back by morning," I say, Amy sat behind me, braiding my hair. I hear a sigh leave her lips.

"I sure hope so, you and Andrea are all I have right now. I don't know what I would do without you guys." She ties off the end.

"She'll come back, She'll come back to you." We head over to the fire pit, joining the rest of them.

I decided after Amy begged me for like 20 minutes, to sleep in the RV with her. she usually sleeps in there with Dale, Jim, Andrea, and Glenn. But with Glenn and Andrea being gone, she wanted someone else with her.

We decided to go to bed after eating dinner. Dale had no problem welcoming me with open arms. I didn't talk to him much, but he was a nice dude.

"Good night Rory, thank you for being my best friend." I look over and see amy with closed eyes.

"Night Amy, thank you for being my best friend," I tell her back and close my eyes. I feel myself drifting off and before I know it I'm asleep.

I don't know if I should have amy die😭 I loved her character so much even if she wasn't in the show a lot. she had a childish personality, which I think is needed in the apocalypse. they should have kept her character.
