Rory
I left my tent when I woke up. My eyes had to be puffy and red from rubbing them and crying. Lori had gotten Amy to sit around the camp fire. I sat next to her.
"I made this for you. Found some string in the rv." She hands me a bracelet. I smile as I see a matching one on her wrist.
"Thank you, I love it." I pull her into a hug, only to pull away when a loud siren is heard.
"Talk to me Dale!" Shane shouts. Where the fuck did he come from?
"Can't tell yet!" He yells back.
"Is it them? Are they back?!" Amy looks at me, eyes filled with hope.
"I'll be damned." Dale leans into the binoculars, like he could see better that way.
"Is it them? What is it?" Amy asks
"Stolen car...yup stolen car." He answers. A couple of seconds pass and the alarm gets louder. Soon a red sports car pulls up and Glenn hops out of it. I gasp and make my way over to him, Amy doing the same.
"Holy crap, turn that thing off!" Dale shouts from the rv.
"I don't know how!" Jim pops the hood and Shane rips a couple of wires and the sound stops.
"Where's Andrea? Is she ok? Why isn't she with you?" Amy asks frantically.
"Everyone is ok, well except Merle. They'll be here any second." She nods and I take this chance to hop into Glenns arms.
"Woah!" He almost falls back but keeps us balanced. I wrap my legs around his waist and cling to him, having no intention on letting go.
"Are you crazy? Driving this up here like that? You wanna draw walkers up here?" Shane asks, angrily.
"I think we'll be ok." Dale says.
"You call being stupid okay!?"
"Well, the alarm echoed off the hills, hard to pinpoint the source." He shrugs, "Not arguing, just saying." He continues.
"It wouldn't hurt to think a little more careful next time though." I tell him, Dale and Shane nodding in agreement.
"Sorry." he frowns a little before a shit earring grin forms on his face. "Got a cool car." Glenn takes his hand off of me to motion to the car. Dale and I nod along in agreement. A few seconds of silence passes when a white box truck pulls up.
"Andrea!" I jump from Glenns arms, and run over to where Andrea and Amy were hugging. Seeing me approach, Andrea opens one side of the hug to let me in.
"What the hell happened?"
"Merle, stupid ass was shooting from the rooftop, attracting walkers from all over the city. But before that Glenn saved some man, who kinda also attracted walkers because he was shooting. I don't think he knows sound attracts them, well he does now. But that's not the point! Anyways, Merle was being a dumbass, beat up T-Dog and then this man tackles Merle and handcuffs him to a pipe, I was mad at him for attracting the walkers first, but then he made up for it by getting us out of there." I tried to catch every word Andrea spewed from her mouth, I'm pretty sure I got it.
"Where is this mystery man?"
"Um, ohh! He's right there!" Andrea points behind us and I turn on my heels. when I see the man I stop in my tracks.
No way.
Shane said- but he was so sure.
"Dad! Dad!" Carl runs to Rick, jumping into his arms. Rick carefully falls to his knees, Lori follows Carls actions and joins them on the ground. I stay in my place.
Like if I moved to fast he was going to disappear into thin air and I would lose him again. The floodgates break when he calls out my name.
"Rory?" he asks Lori and Carl. I quickly make my way to the group, that was now standing up.
"Rick!" I wrap my arms around him and pull him close. I sob into his shirt, I can believe he's back. He's really here.
"I thought you were gone, that I would never get to see you again!" I hugged him tighter.
"I'm here now, I'm here now Rory. I'm really here." He whispers softly into my ear. He was dressed in his uniform, he probably stop at the house.
We rock back and forth before the hug got hot and I had to pull away. The days we're getting hotter and hotter as they went on.
"Don't ever do that to me again, you hear me." I playfully point to him.
"I won't." He supports a smile. I sigh before pulling him into another light hug. I take in his scent, it was really comforting. This is the most relaxed I've felt in months.
Between the walkers, grieving, the babies. it's been a lot.
The babies
Oh that's gonna be a fun discussion. I pull away from him, and let Carl and Lori hug him more.
"I'll be right back." I tell them before walking to Andrea.
"Did you get them?" Her face shows confusion before realizing what I was talking about.
"Yeah I did! I grabbed two bottles for you. It was all they had, if they had more I would have gotten them." She takes the two bottles from her bag and hands them to me.
"Thanks, you're a life saver." I give her a smile before going off to my tent. I place the bottles with my stuff before going back to be with Rick.
"It was all, white." I hum a little tune as I sit between Ricks legs. I stare deeply into the fire and listen to him. "I heard Shanes voice, but when I woke up no one was there." He was explaining to us how he got out.
I let put a yawn and lean back, my head resting on Ricks stomach. I hadn't talked to him yet, but I would tomorrow.
"Has anyone given any thought to Daryl Dixon." Fuck, I forgot about Daryl. "He won't be happy to find out his brother was left behind." I start to shut them out. Not my problem.
I feel myself drift off to sleep, before I could stop it I was already closing my eyes.
