"What do you want!" A voice booms and a man steps out of the shadows. He held a glass of wine and a gun in one hand.

"A chance."

"That's asking for a lot these days," he looks at us, one by one. "Each person will submit a blood test, price of admission."

"We'll do it," he says without a second thought.

"Dr. Edwin Jenner."

"Rick Grimes."

"Go get what you need, once those doors close they won't open again." Ok... red flag but whatever.

The men quickly run outside and bring in bags. I take my bag from Rick, thankful that I put some clothes in there. I keep my bow on my back and play with the knives strapped to my thigh. He takes us to an elevator.

"Doctors usually go around packing heat like that?" Daryl questions him.

"There was enough laying around, familiarized myself with them. You guys look harmless though." He looks Carl up and down "Except you, I'll have to keep my eyes on you." Carl smiles and looks down.

"Are we underground?" Carol asks, looking around the hallway we stepped out into.

"Claustrophobic?"

"A little."

"Try not to think about it." Wow, great advice. Who would have guessed? He lead us into a small room, this one was white.

"Stay here." He leaves, only to return with a box and some vials.

"Alright, who's first." Everyone looks to Glenn and he sighs.

"God damn it, it's always me." He sighs and makes his way to him. I giggle a little at him.

"You know, kids in Italy and France have a little wine with their dinner." Dale says and Lori puts a hand over carls cup.

"Well, when Carl is in Italy or France he can have some." She shakes her head.

"Come on, just a little," Rick smiles at her. "Come on."

She sighs, "fine." She removes her hand from the cup and Dale pours a little in. We all watch as Carl brings the cup to his mouth and takes a sip.

"Yuck!" We all erupt in laughter as Carl shakes his head side to side. "That's gross."

"That's my boy," Lori laughs while taking the wine left in his cup and pouring it into hers. "That's my boy." She ruffles his hair.

"Not you Glenn, I wanna see how red your face can get!" Daryl shouts and puts the wine bottle in front of him.

A glass clinks and I cringe at the sound. "It seems we haven't properly thanked our host!" He speaks.

"He's more than our host!" T-dog yells.

"Here's to you doc! Booyah!" Daryl holds his glass up, and so do the others. Everyone was smiling and having a good time, until Shane ruined it.

"Ao when are gonna tell us what happened here doc?" We all stopped talking, and I looked down to my plate. "All the other doctors, that are supposed to be figuring out what's happening." He had a salty facial expression on his face.

"Shane," Rick started "not now. We're celebrating right now."

"Woah! Wait, that's why we're here, right? This was your move. To figure out the answers, but we only found him. One man, one person. Why?" He sits back in his chair and crosses his arms over his chest.

"When things got bad, people left to be with their families," Jenner started, "when the military cordon got overrun, the rest bolted." He signed and took a drink of the red liquid in his cup. "Many couldn't face walking out the doors, out there, they... opted out, a rash of suicides."

The room grew tense and I shoveled more food into my mouth. "Dude," Glenn groaned. "You are such a buzz kill."

The rest of the dinner was quiet, when everyone was done Jenner showed us where we can sleep and shower and then the rec room. I decided to stay in a room with Glenn and T-dog.

"I'm gonna go find something to snack on," I muttered. I was feeling hungry again and I was craving something salty.

"You just ate though?" T-dog furrowed his brows at me. I tense up a little, he and Glenn didn't know.

"Dude!" Glenn slaps his chest. "You can't say that to a girl. It's rude!" I just walk out of the room, not wanting to hear their drunk bickering.

I make my way to the kitchen and begin to dig through cupboards.

"How many?" I jump as a voice comes from behind me. I turn to see Dr. Jenner with a new glass of wine.

"What?" The hell was he talking about?

"Babies, is there one or multiple." How did he...

"How did you-" I trail off, confused about how he knew this.

"Your blood test, when it came back. Said you were pregnant." Oh, that's how.

"Twins, I'm with twins," I tell him and I see a faint smile come upon his face.

"That's good, it's up to the newer generation, well what's left of it, to help restore the world. Take what you want, help yourself." He walks out of the room. I just grab the chips and make my way back to the room.

"Showers free." T-dog walks out of the bathroom. I look at Glenn, and he motions for me to go first. I grab my bag and make my way into the bathroom.

I take my things out of my bag, I haven't used these in forever. I quickly strip myself of my clothes and step into the glass box.

I smile as I wash away all the dirt and grime on my body. I shave my legs before washing myself with my body wash. I scrub my scalp, it's probably beet-red now.

When I'm done I step from the shower and start to dry myself. I apply deodorant, lotion and spritz myself with perfume. I finish off by brushing my teeth, 10 or 20 times. I place all my items, and now dirty clothes back into the bag. I throw the towel off to the side and walk out of the bathroom.

T-dog was passed out on the couch while Glenn was passed out on the cot. I make my way to the cot, placing my bag next to the side I would be sleeping on. I shut off the light before making my way next to Glenn.

I place myself under the blanket he had for me and lay my head on the pillow. I close my eyes, letting myself fall asleep safely.
