Narrative

He was having the same thoughts, feelings, emotions. He just wasn't letting them be seen.

He wasn't good with relationships, he was a sex only kind of man before all this started. He never felt the way he felt before her.

When he first seen her, something in him changed. His stomach felt tingly and his head felt light. But he couldn't help but want to smile when ever he seen her smile. Frown when he seen her frown.

He liked the thoughts, but at the same time he didn't.

She was a child compared to him. He shouldn't be feeling this way for someone like her. It was wrong and dirty, the sinful thoughts that ran through his head every time he seen her or heard her voice.

He wanted her so bad, but at the same time he wouldn't let that happen. He didn't know love or how it felt and what it was. Anytime he felt happy, or good, he went and ruined it.

Simply because his father and brother had drilled it into his head that he didn't deserve it or that he didn't need it.

He only needed one person, and that was Merle. But Merle wasn't here right now, he was gone.

Daryl felt hurt, that he didn't wait. Did Merle really think he wouldn't come back for him?

But on the same hand, he was figuring it out that it was a blessing in disguise. Because slowly he was starting to open up more.

Open up to her.

He didn't know where his newfound confidence was coming from, the one that drove him to make an effort towards her. Maybe it was when he woke up to her by his bedside, when she showed up next to his brother, or it was there all along. He just needed that push.

But when he woke up, the first thing him seeing was her beautiful face, something dawned on him. He liked her.

It was clear to him that he did. But it was how he went with it. He didn't want to like her, like stated before, she was a child. It was wrong, it was bad.

But then again, the world had ended. Did the laws from before still apply now? Morals?

Could he possibly try to pursue something with her, without the guilt pit in his stomach growing every time he thought the smallest things about her.

this chapter is short, but i felt like it needed it's own chapter.
