Rory

"Did y'all hear that?" I looked out the window, seeing that it was almost pitch black now. I swear I just heard a gunshot.

"Maybe they found Randall?" Carol asked before the door opened, Daryl and Glenn walked in.

"We found randall." Glenn said, hearing the question Carol asked.

"Is he back in the shed?" Lori asked and Daryl shook his head.

"Was a walker, had his neck snapped." I thought you could only turn if you were bitten.

"Was he bit?" I asked. Glenn shook his head.

"We looked, found nothing." Huh.

"Guys! Carl's gone!" Lori rushed down the steps. Carl was told to stay upstairs until dinner was ready.

"What! He's gone?" She nodded her head profusely.

"Ok, calm down. He's probably just with rick." Carol tried to calm her down.

"Uh, guys." T-dog was looking out the window, we all rushed to look. My eyes widened at the sight. A herd, about three times the size of the one on the highway was coming towards us.

"Patricia, hit the lights." Hershel told her. Patricia ran around the house turning off the lights.

"We can take 'em." Hershel said. I shook my head. A herd that size would tear this house apart.

"This is my farm, I'll die here. Maggie, get the guns." Maggie ran to a broom closet, grabbing multiple guns.

"Maggie..." Glenn was confused.

"You learn a thing or two living out in the country." She cocked her gun. I nervously looked around the room, my eyes landing on Daryl.

"You're coming with me, ok?" I nodded my head.

"I'm going with Daryl, I'll keep an eye out for Rick and Carl ok?" I tell Lori and she agrees with me.

"You got a gun?" I shake my head. Daryl takes a little gun from the back of his pants and hands it to me.

"Let's go." He grabs my hand and we run out of the house to his bike. He gets on, starting it up. I get on behind him, hugging him tightly. I hid my head in the back of his shirt as we moved. When we stopped I looked up.

"Just shoot 'em." I did as he told me and shot the walkers that were getting to close. I looked to see the barn on fire. hopefully that was Carl and Rick. I cursed a little when I ran out of bullets.

"Hang on!" I gripped onto him when he started to move, we went up to the front of the house.

"Get to a car! Head to the highway!" He shouted before driving off. I looked around, watching as walkers tried to grab us. A few of them followed, but most of them were occupied by the burning barn.

I let out a relieved sigh as we lost the walkers and made it to the highway. But my anxiety came back when I realized I didn't know what happened to my family.

"Daryl, we gotta go back. Carl, Rick, Lori-"

"Rory, they're fine. I seen Rick and Carl, on top of the RV. Lori was on the porch, they'll be here soon." I felt tears run down my face and the bike came to a stop.

"I promise they'll be ok." He got off the bike, leaving me on the vehicle now. Sobs left my mouth and I felt him wrap his arms around me. I leaned into his chest and sob into his shirt.

The sun was begging to rise now, how long has it been. It only felt like a hour, but it was multiple.

"Look." Daryl pointed to the car that was coming down the street. It was a silver car, one that sat in the driveway of the farm. It stopped right in front of us. Glenn got out with Maggie, Rick, Carl and T-dog following him.
