"move the cars to the upper yard. point them facing out. they'll be out of the way but ready to go if we ever need to bail." daryl throws glenn a set of keys, i watch as glenn runs ahead. i stick close to daryl.

"we'll give the prisoners a weeks worth supplies for the road."

"they might not last a week!" t-dog argues.

"their choice!"

"did they really have one?"

"hey! hey, whose blood would you rather have ok your hands? maggie's, glenn's or theirs?"

"neither." he shakes his head, walking away. daryl walks over to his bike.

"get on." he motions for me to get on behind him. i plant my hands on his shoulders and swing my leg over.

"twin cylinder, is that a triumph?" axel asks.

"don't even look at it." daryl struggles to start the bike, while axel gawks at it still.

"sounds like it could use a tune up, i'm pretty handy with a wrench! heads are leaking, i know my bikes!" daryl doesn't say anything as we drive off. once we get all the cars placed, i make my way back inside.

"go hershel! wanna race?" i ask, starting to walk up the stairs.

"you give me another day, i'll take you on." i giggle and get inside, instantly making my way to evie and ellie.

"you hungry, want some applesauce?" just then alarms started to blare loudly.

"what the fuck." evie and ellie start to to cry from the sounds.

"it's ok, it's ok." i'll be right back. i got to walk outside, to see what was going on when i heard growing.

"mother fucker." i seen as five walkers appear in the room. i didn't have my gun or knife, i left them in here.

"fuck, fuck, fuck!" i look around, seeing what i can use when elowens and everest screams bring me back to reality. i run back to the cell they were in, the walkers following me. kicking one, i slam the cell door shut, using all my strength to keep it closed.

my eyes start to water and my vision becomes cloudy. i start to lose my grip when gunshots ring throughout my hearing. the bodies dropping to the ground.

"lori! carl! aurora!"

"rory! rory!"

"in here, i'm in here." i let go of the door, going over to the playpen. i cry as i reach down and grab everest and elowen.

"are you ok!" daryl rushes into the cell. i nod, leaning into him when he puts his hands on my face, wiping the tears.

"i'm fine, we're ok. just a little shaken up." i tell him. he wraps his arms around me softly, careful not to squish the twins.

"you're ok, you're ok."

"is everyone ok? where's beth, hershel?"

"they're outside, but i don't want you going out there yet, i'll come get you and we can go out there together." i nod, pulling away and sitting on hershels bed.

"here, take this." he hands me a gun. i look up at him and then back to my hands, i couldn't grab it because evie and ellie.

"right." he puts it down on the desk. "i'll be back soon. just sit tight." he says.

"ok, ok." i nod. we walks out of the room. closing the door behind him. i start to bounce elowen and everest in my arms, trying to get them called down. it felt like forever before daryl returned.

"alright, we can go." he takes ellie into his arms, picking up his gun he tucks it into his pocket. i cradle everest as we make our way outside, there i see rick, hershel, beth, glenn, axel and oscar.

"what about carol and t-dog?" hershel asks.

"they didn't make it." more tears start to form. t-dog and carol didn't make it. i sniffle and wipe away a stray tear.

"that doesn't mean the others didn't! we're goin back! daryl and glenn, you're with me-" a cry cuts him off, and it's not ellie or evie. i turn to see maggie and carl walking down the steps, maggie has a new born baby in her hands and is sobbing, carl has emotionless look.

my hand flys to my mouth. rick starts to walk forward, dropping his weapons. i feel a hand on my shoulder. i turn to see beth standing there.

"i can take her." she says above a whisper. i nod, handing everest over to her. i wipe more tears as they fall down my face.

"rick..." i couldn't form a sentence. she couldn't be gone, she just couldn't. she was going to be in bed when we walked into that prison, resting.

"where is... where is she?" he tried to go back, but maggie stops him.

"no! rick, don't!" he looks at carl, who turns his body away from rick. rick starts to cry, rubbing his eyes.

"oh no, no! no!" i start to make my way over to him. placing my hand on his shoulder, he turns around.

"rory... rory." he pulls me into a hug, sobbing into my shoulder.

"i know. i know." i clench my eyes close and a sob comes from my mouth. his knees buckle and we fall to the ground.

"no, please." my grip tightens on him, not wanting to let go of him.

i turn around to see glenn holding maggie as she sobs, the baby in her hands. i wipe the snot away from my nose before burying my head back into ricks neck.

i rock us from side to side as he sobs into my shirt, rubbing his back up and down.

she was gone.

lori was really gone.
