"Sun and Moon? Who are they?" Gregory asks as we approach the slide. "The daycare attendants. Sun is the energetic type to keep the kids entertained while Moon does nap time or helps with troublesome kids. Sun sleeps once it's dark and Moon comes out of rest mode to take care of it and vise versa. Unless Moon wants to be awake and he just stays in the nap area where its always dark. He'll rarely come in the light." I explain while Gregory nods. "Well, after you little man." I say pointing to the slide. "Isn't there another way in? I'm too old for slides." He pouts, crossing his arms. "Whaaat?? Even I'm not too old for slides. Come on, Sun and Moon are fun!" I pick him up and shove him down the slide.
We land in the ball pit and look around. "Ho ho hooo!" We look up and see Sun dive off his room balcony also landing in the ball pit. 'At least Suns normal' I thought.
Not even a second later both of us get picked up by one arm. "New friends! Wait- y/n! Oh how lovely to see you again sunshine!" I smile and wave with the hand he isn't holding me up by. "Hey Sunny! Good to see you again too!" Sun looks to Gregory. "Who's this little fella?" Sun asks. "He's uhh...My friends brother! I was looking after him but we accidentally got locked in. Can you help us?" Sun puts us down and claps his hands in excitement. "Yes yes yes! I would love to! Just one thing...keep the lights on...ON...on." He says in a unsettling tone. "Uh-okay. Why, is Moon acting up?" I ask and he slightly nods. "His security protocols are out of control tonight, I'm scared he might hurt you sunflower." I pat his arm. "It's alright Sun, don't worry we'll keep the lights on." Right when I said that the lights went out because Gregory took the badge while me and Sun were talking. "No no! Why did you do that?! Lights on! Lights on!" I then here a voice inside him say 'entering rest mode.' And another from a distance saying. 'Powering on'. "Gregory what did you do?! We got to turn the generators on fast!" I run to the desk where Gregory is.
Me and him grab flashlights and make another plan for me to distract Moon and he turns the generators on. "Naughty naughty children~" I hear Moons raspy voice but this time it didn't sound as soothing as it used to be, it sounded rough and creepy. "Alright ready? Now!" We both part and I grab Moons attention. "Hey Moony! Look, it's your favorite person!" Moon growls and starts crawling my way. I start running and knocking over blocks to slow him down.
I hid behind one of the play structures for a second to catch my breath. I looked around but didn't see him anywhere. I peaked out but then a hand wrapped around my ankle dragging me across the floor. "AAGHH! MOON THAT HURTS! GREGORY HURRY!" He had me by the ankle pretty harshly I felt his nails dig in. "IVE GOT 3 DOWN, 2 TO GO!" I hear Gregory shout back. I groan and try to get away from Moon. I kick his face plate and scratched his eye for him to let me go. Once he did I booked it away with the adrenaline I had going.
I heard his bells fade but then I heard Gregory scream. "Damn it...MOON OVER HERE!" Moon crawls around the play structure so he's in view and comes over to me. I start running again but this time slower, I'm so tired from lack of sleep and because Moon hurt my ankle. It goes quiet so I turn around and he's not following me. "Shit...MOON! IM RIGHT HERE BUDDY! COME AND GET ME!" I shout but still nothing..."AGHH!" He scratches my side causing me to bleed out of three slashes. I didn't have time to run once he picked me up and flew into the air. "Moon what the hell!?" I grunt, holding my wounds with one hand as he dangles me from the other. "Trespassers must be punished~" He states going in to hurt me again but thankfully Gregory found the last generator and the lights turned back on. I spoke to soon on the thankful part..."Entering rest mode." I look down and panic. "No no no!" Moon lets go of my hand as he powers off, leaving me to fall but before I got far, I clung onto his leg.
I hear Sun's bells come over. "Sunbite!? Oh goodness! I'm so sorry! Hold tight I'll get you down!" Sun goes to grab pillows and comes back holding them in his arms. "Let go! I'll catch you!" I take a deep breath in and let go of Moons leg. I fall and plop down onto the pillows in Sun's arms. "Thank you Sun, that was very...eventful." I sigh as he sets me down. "y/n your bleeding! We need to get that patched up!" I look down at my bloody shirt. "I'll be fine Sun don't worry, I'll find a medical station once I get out of here." Sun swiftly scoops me up again. "Non sense! That wound needs to be treated right away!" He argues back bringing me to a bench and cleaning up my wound.
I hiss and close my eyes from the stinging of the alcohol on my open cuts. "Almost done sunshine." He comforts me. I nod and calm down a bit after he starts wrapping it up. "There! All better! I'm so very sorry about that Sunbeam! Hopefully you aren't scared of him...he didn't mean it." I smile and hug Sun. "I'm not don't worry I know it was just a malfunction. I'll deal with it later. Thanks for helping me by the way." Sun hugs back but gently so he doesn't hurt me. "It's no problem! Now go on, I don't want you staying here with Moony acting like that." He gently pushes me and Gregory out of the daycare where we meet Freddy.
Freddy rushes over and grabs our faces. "Are you two okay?! I was so worried! y/n there's blood! What happened?!" Me and Gregory laugh at how much he sounds like a worried dad. "What's so funny?" He asks. "You're such a dad. But I'm fine Freddy, just a little accident with Moon. Sun already helped me, see?" I say lifting my shirt a little to show my bandaged side. Freddy sighs of relief. "Thank goodness. Gregory you got the badge right?" Freddy asks. "Yep! Now let me in, I don't feel safe out here." He says knocking on Freddy's chest cavity.
We walk back upstairs and exit the daycare. "Come with me y/n, I need to charge a bit more." He walks into a charging station and I stand in front of him. The door closes in front of us and we wait for Freddy to be done charging.
A few moments pass when that headache and blurry vision come back. "Ugh what the?-" I see a white rabbit lady skip by. That's the person I saw that night when all of us played hide and seek and I ate a sundrop! "What is that?!" Gregory asks, I guess he saw her too. "That is a fountain! A fountain is a decorative reservoir used for discharging water." Me and Gregory laugh for a second. "Not that! Did you not see the dancing rabbit lady skip by?" Gregory asks again. "No, I did not. There is no rabbit at the Mega Pizzaplex...not anymore." I can hear the depressed tone in his voice, making me down too. I know Bonnie is still out there. "Anymore? What happened?" Gregory asked. Me and Freddy made sad eye contact. "He umm...went missing a couple months ago. He was our close friend, we haven't been able to find him yet." I explain with clear hurt in my voice. "Oh. Sorry for asking but if you want...I can help you guys look for him?" Gregory suggests and I lightly smile. "Your a sweet kid Greg, thanks but right now we need to focus on living through this first." He chuckles and we exit the charging station.
We were walking back to Freddy's room when we heard Vanessa approaching. "Freddy! What are you doing out of your room!" Before Freddy can answer I bud in. "He was having another malfunction, I was actually just escorting him to his room now." I lie with a straight face. "Again? No way, take him down to parts and service. We can't have him causing trouble with this kid sneaking around." I nod. "Fair enough. I also think I heard him by the daycare I was heading over there until I found Freddy wondering." She straightens her hat. "On it. Good work y/n" I nod as I watch her walk away. "Told you she was after me!" Gregory said from inside Freddy. "We said nothing. We will keep you safe." He assures him as we keep moving, this time to parts and service.
When we get there Gregory hops out and looks around. I see him checking out the blueprints for the other three. "Woah...these upgrades are cool!" I look at the blueprints on the walls and smile. "Can we upgrade Freddy?!" He asks with excitment. I rub the back of my neck. "Uhh I don't know kid...what upgrades would we give him?" Gregory looks down in thought for a minute before snapping his head back up at me. "We can give him a battery upgrade! He's always running out of battery so fast and can't help us, maybe he can if he had more battery." He suggests. "Huh. That's actually not a bad idea. Freddy! Get in the protective cylinder." I tell him and he complies.
One upgrade later~~~~~~~~~
"Done! How do you feel Fred?" I ask while finishing the upgrade on the computer. "I feel energized!" He chants. "Perfect!" I smile as Gregory does a fist pump in the air for the success. I also did a quick system check so there's proof to Vanessa we were down here doing a check.
"How about we split up? That'll work better and faster. I think we need two more security cards to open the dock controls." I suggest. "What if you get hurt again? I will not be there to help you." I chuckle and smile up at him. "I know Freddy. I know that at times no one will be there to protect me or save me but that's okay. I can handle myself." Freddy's ears goes down and he hugs me. "Theres another security badge in the office on the third floor by the east arcade. We'll get the one above the kitchen. Be careful, little one." I smile and wave, running off in the direction of the stairs.
