"How far are we from the target?" Wales asked Illustrious.

"Hmmm.... Roughly thirty kilometres." The carrier answered.

"Hmmm.... Should have done this sooner, but we couldn't risk it..." Wales said, before turning on her radio.

"All carriers, Launch your aircraft! As for the rest of you, get ready for battle!" She commanded the fleet.

She received multiple affirmations before hundreds of aircraft of various types left their carriers in search of their target. Although there was one that didn't launch any aircraft at all.

"What is Gambier doing?" Illustrious asked, as she looked at the carrier sailing on the other side of the Prince of Wales.

"I'm not sure..." Wales said, as she arrived to guess what could be going on in Gambier's head.

"Everyone just launched their fighters." Phoenix told Gambier.

"Mmmhmm..." Gambier hummed out as she surveyed the waters ahead of her.

"Aren't you gonna do the same?" Phoenix asked her.

"Nope." Gambier responded.

"Saving your strength for yamato huh?" Phoenix asked.

"Yeah, I will need every last bit of strength if I'm to beat her." Gambier answered.

"Yah makes sense..." Phoenix responded.

The two stayed silent for a while, letting the sound of the ships sailing through the waves permeate through the air.

"Here's an idea, why don't you try and locate her." Phoenix suggested.

"What? How? Wait... isn't that what we have the satellites for? Even then, we already know where she is..." Gambier questioned.

"No no... Do you remember the first time we encountered Yamato? Remember that weird feeling you had?" Phoenix asked her.

"Yah yah... it... felt like my heart wanted to pop out my chest." Gambier said as she thought back to that day.

"Well... you can use it on command." Phoenix said.

"Oh really?" Gambier asked.

"Yah, now close your eyes." Phoenix instructed.

"Alright then, focus on your surroundings, the waves, the breeze, the ships in the water. All of it." Phoenix instructed once more.

Gambier began to focus, making sure she felt all the things Phoenix mentioned. She saw the ships sailing in the water, the fish under it, and of course.

"Yamato..." Gambier said, as she tried to hone in on the Sakura battleship.

"Found her?" Phoenix asked.

"You bet I did..." Gambier answered.

"Well then it worked. I wonder what she's doing, or even thinking." Phoenix thought.

"Someone like her? It could be anything really." Gambier answered.

Yamato was standing on the bow of the Orochi as she looked at the rest of the Sakura Empire fleet.

Her eyes gazed at every ship she could see, from carrier to destroyer. Yet, despite the unbridled determination she displayed, there was still a hint of uncertainty, as if she didn't want this, or even knew the outcome.

"I see you are well." Observer Alpha said as she landed behind Yamato.

"..." Yamato stayed silent, still looking out to sea.
