Final Voyage

"It's a hot day today huh?" Gambier said as she fanned herself off. She was making her way to the command building, for an important meeting.

"I don't have a good feeling about this." Gambier said.

"Why?" Phoenix asked.

"We haven't seen anything on the radar for weeks… and now an emergency meeting?" Gambier responded.

"Yah… it's so sudden…" Phoenix said as she began to think about it.

"Yah… There's a big battle on the horizon." Gambier said.

"Yah, but we knew this." Phoenix replied.

"Yah… but so soon?" Gambier stated.

"We don't know for sure, let's just get to this meeting." Phoenix said.

"Yeah you're right." Gambier said as she continued walking.

She continued to walk in silence as she passed by different buildings on base. Eventually she reached the Hospital.

"..." Gambier stopped, and looked at the all white building with the red H on it.

"You want to visit her don't you?" Phoenix asked.

"Hmmm. I have more important things to worry about." She said shortly before continuing on.

The grandfather clock in the main office sounded out, into the tense atmosphere that had formed.

Everyone in the room looked at the coffee table, and the single picture that lay on it.

It stayed like this for what felt like forever to the occupants of the room. That was until footsteps were heard outside the door, before said door opened, revealing the crimson haired light carrier.

Wales looked at her, and jestured to a seat adjacent to where she herself was sat. Gambier, knowing they didn't have much time took it.

"... So, why did you call me here?" Gambier asked, her tone one of seriousness and urgency.

"... This." Enterprise slid the photo over to Gambier, the latter picking it up.

"Wha- ah…" Gambier was about to ask something, but immediately stopped as she saw the picture.

"... This is…" Gambier said to herself, as she looked at the utterly obliterated island in the photo.

"An island not too far from Sakura…" Walws answered.

"But far enough to be well out of range of any fighters or bombers they have, more over, none of them have the carrying capacity to do this with a single bomb." Enterprise added.

"How do you know it was one bomb that did it?" Gambier asked Enterprise.

"Look at the crater, if it was multiple different bombs there would be multiple craters." Enterprise answered her as she tapped the picture.

"Right right… so what could have done this?" The Phoenix asked.

"Well, our spies were able to capture photos of some sort of siren ship, inside a Sakura Empire cave." Wales replied.

"Which would mean that… The ship in that photo is the one that did… this…" Gambier said as she thought about the whole thing.

Her thoughts, however, were interrupted by Edinburgh, who barged through the door carrying something.

"Edinburgh?" Wales questioned as she looked at the cruiser walking towards her.

"Take a look." Edinburgh handed Wales a single photo.
