(3rd POV)

It was the start of spring in the Sakura Empire. That meant that the Sakura trees were in full bloom, but most of all...

"It's time for the spring festival!" Musashi squealed, as she and Yamato were walking around in the shopping district near the base.

"Fufufu~ Someone's excited." Yamato chuckled slightly at her sister's antics.

"Of course I am! It's only the best time of the year~" She responded as she put both her arms into the air.

"Fufufu~ Alright alright, I get it." Yamato said with a small laugh.

"So, What else do we need to get?" Musashi asked her older sister.

"Well let's see..." Yamato opened one of the shopping bags in her hands, and counted all the items inside.

"We got the food... which I don't know why it's a festival we're going to... extra water..." Yamato was cut off by a sudden outburst by her sister.

"The kimonos!" Mussashi yelled.

"Ah yes, the Kimonos." Yamato said as she smiled at Musashi.

"By the way... where's Shimano?" Musashi asked.

Yamato's ears dropped onto her head before perking back up. "She's probably sleeping... you know, looking into the future." She responded.

"But we need her..." Musashi said in a dejected tone.

"I'm sure she has a Kimono at h-" Yamato was cut off by her sister.

"It's not just about the Kimono... you two have got to stop this!" She yelled at Yamato as the two stopped walking.

"What do you mean?" Yamato said, a mix of confusion and concern plastered on her face.

"You and baby sis, you never talk to each other any more! Why?" Musashi answered as a few tears ran down her face.

"I... Sushi..." Yamato barely stuttered out.

"Ever since the day you came back home she dislikes even a reference to your existence! A-a-and you? You haven't even bothered to reach out even say anything before today, all because of that stupid project!" Musashi continued.

Without even thinking, Yamato hugged her little sister, the guilt in her heart too much to bear any longer.

"I'm sorry I've made you feel this way sister... But you have to understand that everything is done for a reason... please... just hold on a little longer." Yamato pleaded with her sister as they embraced.

"How much longer..." Musashi said, albeit quietly.

"Not much longer but I wouldn't ask you to do this if I knew it would be a long wait. Please, trust in your older sister." Yamato reiterated

"Fine... I will wait..." Musashi said as the two parted.

"But You had better not go back on your promise." She said as she whipped her tears.

"Now... let's get going. We don't want to be late! Do we now?" Yamato said as she smiled at her little sister.

"Yeah... I guess not..." Musashi said as the two walked off to get their Kimonos.

_____

"Are you done yet?" Yamato asked her sister, who was in the change room trying on a Kimono.

"I'm almost done!" Musashi shouted back.

"Alright. Just come out when you finish." Yamato responded.

The kitsune didn't have to wait long however, as her sister soon popped out of the change room wearing a pink kimono with an assortment of flowers on it.
