The people started coming beside the hall where the wedding would be happened any moment. To anyone, friends and family, this wedding was the plot twist of the unfortunate fact that the last time was a disappointment. As early as seven o' clock on a light summer day, guests arrived for the preparation and cocktail hour as told by Mommy. Swags of native Michigan flowers have been hung around the garden, adorned with bouquets of real Juneberries.

In the center, there Benjamin waiting at me to come, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra played Mendelssohn's. The air seems to still when I started to walk towards him. My brother accompanied me.

Everyone's eyes stared at me. Their faces slowly lights up. They all seem to be thinking the same thing - Finally. Then my heart thumped like never before. All of this happened in a span of sixty seconds and they are left just staring.

"Oh, you must be proud to walk on that aisle Miss," the Pastor said. "So let's start?"

My eyes follow the trail of the thread on Benjamin's suit. The light mirrored on his hazel eyes.

The vows finished went perfect just as practiced. I grabbed Benjamin's arms as we made our way into the reception. Francine catch the flower bouquet. I teetered a bit as I walks, but it was not from the high heels. We drifted around, talking to the guests. Benjamin did all the talking; I just smile. I didn't know I blushed, looks down at myself. "Benj, do you think I might have showed up excessively a little for today? We agreed that it would be a simple wedding."

Benjamin gave me a dazzling smile. "You look gorgeous. If you're tired, we can sit down for a while."

"No, I'm not." I rolled my eyes at him, smiling. "But thanks, honey."

Benjamin squeezed my hand, gets me another drink from the waiter, my second, although he doesn't know it. "Try to check your friends. I'll be right back." He heads for the men's circle.

I was left standing alone. I looked around the room for Kurt. I stands on tiptoe and waved over the crowd. "Hey, Kurt, yoo-hoo."

Kurt looked up from his conversation a few meters away. He smiled, gave a wave, but as I comes toward him, Kurt heads off into the crowd.

I stopped where I was, took another sip of my drink. All around me, tight little groups have formed, talking and laughing, I guesses about all those things people talked and laughed about at weddings.

"Oh, hey there, Deniel," I called.

Deniel smiled, glances around.

"How are you? Oh, I just saw Kurt walked that way. Are you looking for him?"

"No. I mean, yes. I am looking for him..." Deniel looked around, but there was no Kurt. "You look very...glamorous today."

I leaned closer. "Go ahead. Look for your sweetheart." I said.

Deniel stared, but not once did she looked at me in the eye. "Samahan mo ako."

But someone squeezed me on the forearm. "Loren, we need you over here a second, excuse us." It was Sofia. I walked away, our heads leaned close together.

Five minutes later, I saw them hugged each other. I didn't know what they're saying but sure they made their peace. And go inside to find their table using the tiny card in their hands. Benjamin came back hold my hand to sit down in the frony table facing the guests.

"Benjamin," I whispered. "There's your bestfriend."

Benjamin looked up, spotted Deniel laughing with Kurt. "Iba talaga ang epekto ni den-den kay Kurt," He said.

Love is really an antidote to sadness. Kahit gaano pa tayo masaktan ng mga taong mahal natin. Kapag yan humingi na ng tawad, napapatawad natin agad. Mahal natin eh. Love is love.
