As I sat in the quiet in the sala with Saoirse, grappling with the turmoil of recent events, a soft knock at the door pulled me from the depths of my thoughts. With a sense of trepidation, I rose from my seat, my heart heavy with apprehension as I approached the door.
To my surprise, standing before me was Kurt Santos, my childhood best friend.
The sight of him filled me with a rush of conflicting emotions, catching me off guard and leaving me reeling.
"Kurt," I whispered, my voice barely audible above a whisper as tears pricked at the corners of my eyes. "What are you doing here?"
Tears welled in my eyes as I buried my face in his chest, the floodgates of my emotions breaking open as I allowed myself to release the pent-up pain and anguish that had been building inside me.
I found solace in his arms, a true home.
But our embrace was short-lived, interrupted by the sound of another knock at the door.
I pulled away from Kurt, wiping away my tears as I composed myself before opening the door once again.
To my astonishment, standing before me was my mother, Lorie, her presence a comforting beacon of familiarity in the midst of a hurricane.
Beside her stood a stranger, a woman of regal bearing whose presence commanded attention
"Loren, darling," my mother's voice was filled with warmth and concern as she enveloped me in a tight embrace. "We heard what happened, and we came as soon as we could."
Gratitude flooded my heart at the sight of familiar faces in my time of need, but my attention was soon drawn to the woman beside my mother.
Curiosity sparked within me as I took in her regal demeanor and the air of mystery that surrounded her.
"Loren, I'd like you to meet Cvne Faris Mallari," my mother said, gesturing to the woman beside her.
"She's a Princess Royal in Empire of Germany, and she's here to seek treatment for a condition similar to yours."I stood there, enveloped in the embrace of my mother and surrounded by the comforting presence of Kurt and the enigmatic Cvne, a sense of awe washed over me.
The realization that a Princess Royal from German Empire stood before me in my humble abode was nothing short of surreal.
I nodded dumbly, still trying to process the enormity of the situation.
To think that someone of such esteemed stature would grace our home with their presence was beyond anything I could have imagined.
But amidst the excitement and awe, a nagging sense of confusion lingered in the back of my mind.
Why Cvne wanted treatment for a condition similar to mine? And what did my mommy mean by "German Empire"?
As if sensing my confusion, Cvne offered me a reassuring smile, her eyes twinkling with warmth and understanding.
"I know this must all seem quite overwhelming, Loren," she said gently.
"But rest assured, I am very much sure that having Kurt Santos at your side, you are surely in good hands. But first, can I ask questions about what have you remember right after the treatment? Is it safe?"I nodded uncertainly, my mind still reeling from the whirlwind of emotions that had overtaken me.
It was then that I realized something peculiar - despite my mother's words, I had no recollection of ever undergoing treatment for any condition, let alone one similar to Cvne's.
