PART 71

I continued my law study here in London School of Economics.

Sobrang hirap lalo na kung ako lang talaga mag isa dito sa apartment. I always keep my parents updated about me. Almost everyday naman silang tumatawag sakin specially when they're not busy.

Whole day akong nasa school at lagi akong dumadaan sa library lalo na pag may hindi ako naintindihan sa lesson at pag kailangan ko pa ng more information about our topics or lessons. Naeenjoy ko naman yung routine ko pero minsan talaga nakakapagod. Umuuwi nalang ako sa bahay after a long entire day. Yung apartment nalang talaga ang nagsisilbi kong pahinga sa nakakapagod na araw.

Every friday night naman lumalabas ako with my friends, may mga naging friends narin ako sa college. Kasama ko lumaban sa course namin na gustong gusto namin pero napaka hirap. Every saturday ayan ang free time ko, gagawin ko lahat ng gusto kong gawin. Watching movies or sleeping all day. Wala akong hahawakan na any books or di ko bubuksan ang laptop ko and I won't check on my ipad notes about my college course. Para nireresfresh ko ba yung utak ko para sa susunod na namang week na puno nang stress.

Every sunday morning naman I will go to church then I will treat myself to the restaurant minsan all by myself lang but sometimes I'm with my friends. But pag tinamad ako I will go home na ng early para I can clean and laundry na. After that I will eat dinner then I will study na hanggang sa makatulog na ako.

Ganun lang lagi kong routine everyday.

It's Friday.

After class I went to the library to search for something. I know my google pero I really want to look for something here a book I guess.

I received a message from Bella and she's inviting to join them for the party later.

I messaged her sure dahil wala naman na akong gagawin after neto. She send the address of the place. It's a exclusive bar.

When I find what I was looking for I went straight to my apartment para makapag pahinga kahit kaonti and to freshen up for later.

I arrived to the apartment.

Pag pasok ko palang napapikit ako, para na namang may tunog akong narinig para mapaupo ako sobrang lakas at para akong nabibingi.

Sandali akong napatigil yung mundo ko na para ba akong nasa harap ng maraming tao na nakatingin sakin lahat may sinasabi sila na hindi ko maintindihan.

"Stop! please stop! I can't! stop! Please! Please stop!"

Paulit ulit kong sinabi yun hanggang sa tumahimik na yung kapaligiran. Unti onti kong tumayo na and I realized na ako lang talaga akong tao dito sa loob ng apartment. Pinunsan ko naman yung luha sa pisnge ko baka ako tuluyan na pumasok sa room ko.

Hours had past.

I fix myself na and get ready na. Wala naman nang magsusundo sakin so I will take a taxi nalan.

Few minutes I arrived to the place.  Sinalubong naman ako ni Caity.

"Hey Sirene!"

"Oh hey Cait!"

Pumasok na kami sa loob at sinalubong kami ng mga kaibigan namin.

"Finally Sirene!" Bella said.

"Hi Bel!" I said.

We just had chitchat together after few minutes nagulat ako dahil dumating si Apollo with Ashley.

Todo smile naman si Ashley kaya I rolled my eyes. Sisirain na naman yung gabi ko eh.

"Bella why she's here?" tanong ni Caity.

"I don't know to Apollo."

Pinagpatuloy lang namin ang usapan namin ni Caity. Nakahiwalay sila Bella samin dahil may other friends din siya. Nandun din sila Allison and Clifford kasama si Apollo and Ashley nakahiwalay kami ni Caity sa kanila.

Pumunta ako sa bathroom dahil I feel something wrong.

"Excuse Cait I need to go to bathroom."

"Sure Sirene."

Pumunta ako sa bathroom medyo nagtagal naman ako dahil may nararamdaman ako na hindi okay. Hindi siya sakit ng tyan o what. Di ko maintindihan yung sarili ko.

I went outside of the bathroom na dahil naging okay naman na pakiramdaman ko.

Pag labas ko nagulat ako dahil kausap na nila Bella si Ashley at lahat sila tumigin sakin.

Nagulat ako ng lumapit si Bella samin nakasunod iba naming friends.

"Siren, is it true about the issue in your family?" Bella asked.

"Did you know about the hidden wealth of your family?" Allison asked.

"According to allegations, your family's money was appropriated from Filipinos. As a result, your family is really furious about it." Ashley said and she smirked pa. WTH.

"So far has not been proven in court. Even though it's been a while, our family has prevailed in every lawsuit that it has been involved in. They have no evidence that the money we have was taken. Money from our family is legally ours! For that, my grandfather worked hard! None of it was stolen by us." diin kong saad. Para tuloy ako nakikipaglaban sa court.

"The story refers to us, so I assumed your family was good. They contributed greatly to your nation, but what is it? All of this a lie?" Allison curiously asked.

"No it's not a lies!"

"It is said that your grandfather became a dictator and murderer he declare martial law when he suddenly became president of the Philippines." Ashley said and she laughed pa talaga

"My grandfather was not a murderer. It was challenging to be a leader in a nation specially when there is a lot who get jealousy about you. Maybe my grandfather did something wrong too but not to kill his countrymen. There were other people involved in the decision to impose martial law. Many people wanted to rebel against his reign, thus they took such action. Is my grandfather's duty to defend his nation right?." I said.

"But--" Ashley about to talk pa but pinutol ko na siya.

"ENOUGH! I didn't come here to stand in front of you all and discuss my family. I didn't come here to expose my family to you. I specifically did not come here for you to discredit me and make unfounded accusations against me!" I said tumingin ako sa mga kaibigan ko lahat sila nagtataka. Si Caity umiiyak na hindi man nila ako magawang ipagtanggol.

"This is the only thing you will remember, believe me. The only thing my family, especially my grandparents, want is to develop the Philippines. Fix every Filipino's life so they can live well. Recognize Filipino talent so that other races will not undervalue them. But if even our fellow Filipinos are against us, that won't be simple. You have no idea how much suffering our family through over the years as a result of accusations. particularly in condemning us and disparaging us. We are helpless because no one will take us seriously or pay attention to us or even try to listen to us the other side of the story."

"I'm a Marcos and there is nothing wrong with that."

I said and lumapit ako kay Apollo. I smirked and walked out.

"Sirene!" rinig kong sigaw ni Caity.
