Malapit na birthday namin ni tita Irene so we decided na mag celebrate ulit ng sabay sa house niya so she messaged me na pumunta sa house nila dahil isasama daw niya ako mamila sa market ng ihahanda namin.
"Hi mom you still here I thought nakaalis ka na eh." I said pag baba ko dahil nakita ko si mom sa garden.
"The schedule of my meeting has changed, are you going to somewhere?"
"Yeah I'm about to go to tita Irene's house today. She's inviting me to join with her for buying some ingredients for her handa on her birthday."
"So your going to the market? mamalengke pala kayo eh."
"What's mamalengke momma?"
"Your going to the market to buy some staffs or foods something like that honey."
"Ahh okay so mamamalengke kami ni tita Irene, mom." I said.
Natawa naman yung yaya namin.
"Why did you laugh nana?" I curiously asked.
"Nothing po ma'am the way you say mamamalengke is too cute po."
"Hahaha okay so I will that as a compliment from you nana."
"Sure ma'am"
"Okay mom I'll go ahead."
"I'm sure Irene is already waiting you darling, take care okay?"
"Yes mom love you."
"I love you."
Hinatid na ako ng driver namin sa bahay nila tita Irene di naman malayo kasi same subdivision lang naman kami. Magkaiba lang ng street hehe so malapit lang talaga.
I arrived to tita Irene's house.
"Oh finally you are here na sisi." salubong sakin ni tita Irene.
"Am I late?"
"No you are just in time." biglang sulpot naman ni ate Xandra.
So my eyes get bigger because I got surprised.
"Ate Xandra!!!" I said.
"Yes I am sisi."
"Aw I'm glad you are also here."
"Xandra will gonna be with us today." tita Irene said.
"Oh really? yey!" I said.
They smiled lang.
After a few minutes were about to go na.
Hours later we arrived to the public market.
"I this a really a public market tita?" I asked pag baba namin.
"Not a really public market that usually you see."
"Yes it looks like in London their public market is like this. There is a lot of stall but the usually public market here are wet market."
"Have you been in wet market?" ate Xandra asked.
"Yes before in Ilocos. Sinama ako ni nana eh and also I got curious what public market looks like."
Nalibot lang kami and bought all we need last ay sa veggies na.
"This will be the last I guess." tita Irene said.
"No tita." I said.
"Okay stay right there with your ate Xandra."
"Okay tita."
Pumunta na si tita Irene sa mga veggies to pick some of it.
"Hold on Sisi. I need to find something." ate Xandra said habang may hinahanap siya sa bag.
Bigla akong nagulat ng may sumigaw sa hindi kaluyan samin. Halos kasing dikit lang namin sila and for sure they both activists.
"MARCOS HITLER!!! DIKTADOR!!! TUTA!!!" they both shouted kaya nagulat kami ni ate Xandra. Paulit ulit lang nilang sinigaw yan, are they not shame? wth they are doing.
"Mga Araneta na nagpapalayas ng mga magsasaka! Alam ninyo po ba? may mga magsasaka sa San Jose Del Monte na pinapalayas ng mga pamilyang Araneta. Yung mga kinakain po nating gulay na tinatanim ng mga magsasaka. Pinapalayas pamilyang Araneta na asawa ni Irene Marcos!" the woman said.
Napapailing nalang kami ni ate Xandra, we look at tita Irene patuloy parin siya sa ginagawa niyang pamimili. She just ignoring the 2 people shouting to her.
"Berdugo yang pamilyang na yan! Dapat jan hindi pinapapasok sa mga pambublikong espasyo dahil sila ang kaaway ng publiko! MAGNANAKA! BERDUGO! MAMAMATAY NG KAPWA PILIPINO! NAGPAPALAYAS NG MGA MAGSASAKA SA LUPANG SAKAHAN! Dito pa talaga sa bagsakan ng tinda ng mga magsasaka pinapapasok yang mga berdugo yan!" the man said.
Gusto ko sana sumagot na wala namang batas na nagsasabi na bawal dito ang mga pamilyang Marcos at Araneta eh pero may batas na pwedeng ikaso sa ginagawa nila.

"Nakakabastos sa mga mamamimili! Nakakabastos sa mga magsasaka! Nakakabastos sa mga kapwa Pilipino!" he added.
Kami ba ang nakakabastos? O sila. What a shamed for them. Tama ba ginagawa nila? kasama pa nila yung anak nila tama ba nakikita ng bata yung ginagawa nila? Are they a good example for their child?
Tita Irene can handle this scene that classy gesture speaks much louder than the guy shrieking.
Naglakad na kami paalis dahil tapos na si tita Irene mamili.
"Let's go home girls, ipapabili ko nalang kila yaya yung ibang hindi natin napamili dito." tita Irene said to us.
Agad din naman kaming sumakay sa kotse and napansin ko na nagpunas ng luha si tita Irene.
"Tita Irene..." I said and hugged her.
"I'm sorry Sirene, you've seen something like that again." tita Irene said.
"No tita Irene there is nothing to feel sorry about."
"Same with you Xandra."
"No mom we wanted to know if you are okay." ate Xandra said.
"Yes I'm okay." tita Irene said but we know na she's not okay.
Hinatid na nila ako sa bahay bago sila umalis hindi narin sila bumaba dahil magkikita naman kami eh. Hindi ko narin sinabi sa parents ko ang nangyare dahil ayoko na sila mag alala.
I know how traumatized it to tita Irene.
Few days had past and we celebrating the birthday of my grandfather. Our family went to the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Pumunta din dito yung mga ibang loyalist ng pamilya namin. I just looking at my lolo's grave.
"Hi lolo we are all glad that you are finally laid to rest in the Libingan ng mga Bayanin, where you desire. Wherever you are right now, I hope you are happy. Sorry if I wasn't there when you were brought here but I'm here now."
"Sayang hindi ka namin naabutan nila kuya, hindi ko man nakita yung mga ngiti mo at hindi ko naranasan kung paano ka maging isang lolo. Alam ko na marami kang ginawa para mapabuti ang mga kapwa natin but some of them betrayed you I know how it hurts. Pero nandito pa rin kami lolo patuloy na lumalaban as a family, I have been encountered some people who judge me and continue judging me and our family about the past. " I added.
"Alam ko din na hindi eto yung pinangarap at gusto mong mangyare para samin pero sana lolo dumating yung araw na maranasan naman namin na pagtanggol at may mga makasama na kapwa natin na pilipino sa laban natin.
