dear bear,

your mother and i were incredibly proud of you after your choir performance today. i mean, the song selection was kind of boring, which was to be expected since this is just an 8th grade choir show.

i'm pretty sure you are frowning as you are reading this and saying, "dad!" my comment was not directed to you , it's more towards your 8th grade choir teacher.

it was a bit funny how half of the parents including us couldn't see some of kids in the front row. unfortunately your teacher's butt ended up covering those poor kids. hmm, is the word butt a bit crude? maybe bum? like the way british people speak.

as i was saying, i didn't realize it was possible to listen to christmas music two months ahead of time. don't you usually listen to christmas music during the month of december?

your mother and i had a debate over this while we were waiting for you to come out of the dressing room at the end of the show. i think there was a couple parents staring at us. which i'm sure they only were because i was right and your mother was wrong.

but if your mother asks, she was right. as always. your mother is always right. ah there, that's one life lesson to remember. your mother is always right.

as you can tell, i wanted to be inspirational today as always, but my mind is ringing with christmas music and the fact that some parents were sending emails  during their kids performances.

don't fret though, if you check the box marked with your name and a heart. not the box with the star, that one consists of photos of you and your mothers scrapbook.

the box with the heart has videos marked in order, if you check for the one that says 8th grade christmas choir before christmas(?) that is the performance i'm currently talking about.

watch that and you'll understand everything i'm talking about right now. who knew 8th grade choir shows could be this chaotic?

love,
kim taehyung
