dear bear,
when parents say kids sleep like an angel, we mean it. seeing the sight of your child lying down in bed comfortably with no worry in sight fills your heart with joy.
it's the fact that it seems as if your child is protected by sleep from the outside world that is begging to pull all of us under. you feel as if you are floating just slightly above the chaos that calls for you.
truly no worries in sight, smiles in your sleep and i feel as if i need nothing else than seeing that peaceful face.
as you get slightly older by the day to a month to a year, i feel happy to be here every step of the way.
i truly hope that, that smile you have on your face when you are sleeping with no worries is a face that'll continue to shine even when the world wants to pull us under.
