dear bear,

i decided to start this journal after your uncle seokjin pestered me. your uncle namjoon also thought it would be a good idea for me to get the grief out of my system.

so, this is my first entry to a journal dedicated to you.

when your mom first told me that she was pregnant, i felt as if my heart was going to burst out of me. it was an odd feeling, realizing that now you're responsible for another persons life.

i promise you'll understand what i mean in the future. by then do you think we can go out together and have deep conversations with one another?

don't give me that look. i know what you're thinking, you probably think your father is strange for already imagining the future that's far ahead of us. so i'll just leave that thought for later entries.

you're currently in your crib and i'm sitting on an old rocking chair watching you as i write. your little button nose and soft big cheeks are adorable.

i don't know what else i can tell you. i don't even know if i'll ever give you this notebook. but if i do, i want you to know that you are breathtakingly beautiful.
