Four days to that dinner and nothing has been changed for both Virat and Anushka as their families were all praise for the other one.

Even when any of them tried to say a ‘Not so good’ thing about the other, they were awarded with a glare that literally meant ‘Don't-you-dare’.

It was 1 in the night and sleep was a long lost thing for Virat. He was trying hard to doze off but nothing was helping him.

This was the first time he envied Ro's quality to sleep in the most unsuitable circumstances but not like it changed anything.

One thing he realised all this while was that if he was stubborn then his family was way ahead of him.

The day after the dinner, His family asked him to think about the alliance to which he instantly said a No.

When asked about reasons, he had to say nothing other than ‘She is not the one’.

“We know how good your judgement is when it comes to ‘choosing the one’. Your past relationships are proof” His brother's reply still rings in his ear.

It's not like he disagree to that. He had got involved with girls who were not right for him in any aspect.

But still his family rubbing it on his face was something he wasn't happy with. But it didn't stop them doing that.

The thing occupying his mind right now was the conversation he had with his mom some hours back.

“Virat, Bhot ho gya. Ab tu saaf saaf bta ki dikkat kya hai? Itni changi kudi hai fir b tu mana kar rha hai. Aise nhi chlega” His mom said clearly.

“Maa, Mujhe shaadi hi nhi karni hai. I'm not ready” He reverted back.

“To aisa nhi hai ki ham kl hi teri shaadi kra rhe hai. Lekin ek doosre ko jaanne m to koi dikkat nhi” came the reply from her mother.

When he kept silent for another minute, she spoke again.

“Thik hai. Ya to tu Haa kr de vrna mere paas or b rishte hai, hm kl unse mil lenge” His mum told him seriously.

“Maa, This is not fair yarr. This all feels like a torture” He whined.

“Ab decide tujhe Krna hai Virat. Or Iss baar kisi kudi ko naa bolne se phle reason dhoond lena” She added and Virat knew how disappointed she was with him.

Now, he didn't know what to do. He surely had enough of his family acting cold towards him. He needed a solution asap.

If he considers the second option her mother gave i.e to accompany her for many more dinners for bride hunting, he couldn't help but dread at the thought.

For a person reserved to his close ones, meeting new people and for such a personal thing and then giving his mother reasons to not go ahead with the alliance sounds like hell to him.

And on top of it, he knew it was a very short term solution. Someday his mother will confront him again about rejecting all the proposals.

He flipped on his bed once again trying to think of a better plan. That's when an idea striked him.

He himself rejected the plan numerous times before giving it a thought.

He thought about the pros and cons of the plan. After doing calculations in his mind for another 5 minutes and getting satisfied when the pros were one more in count than the cons, he decided to give the idea a try.

And if Virat had come up with an idea, you can never expect it to be sweet and simple.

Virat jumped out of his bed and searched for his phone. He scrolled his contact list before finally stopping at the contact saved as ‘Actress’.
