Sleeping Giants

Quick AN: in the beginning of season 5, Maddie's name is spelled "Maddie" but later on it's spelled Madi?? I'm just goanna stick with "Maddie" lol

Clarke and I find a man who was alone and were able to capture him. We tied him up to two swords in his stomach, causing him to scream in pain.

We purposely did this so his people would come for him. Kind of like what the grounders did with Jasper.

"This isn't right." Maddie frowned

"Maddie, I know but this is our home, your home." I remind

"And they want to take it from us." Maddie sighs

"That's right." Clarke nods

"But he doesn't have to suffer. We can kill him now, right?" Maddie asks

Clarke and I just look back into our scopes,

"Not yet."

Soon after, we see some of his people emerge from the bushes. Once one of the men were close enough, Clarke shot him in the neck.

They quickly hid behind some bushes. They were bound to help the man eventually.

Suddenly one of the men with a weird weapon we've never seen before shot at us.

"Run!" I yell

We run away before it could hit us too bad. My ears were ringing and we were covered in dirt and dust.

"Maddie. Maddie! Are you okay?" Clarke worries

I cough, since we had no time to put any armor on, my body hurt like hell.

"Get up. Run!"

We quickly begin to run back into the woods.

Maddie held Clarke's hand and I followed close behind.

"We can make it to the north cave. Come on." Maddie informed

We stopped when Clarke's let out a loud groan. She showed her hand and it was covered in blood.

"Clarke, you're hurt." I gasp

"We have to hide you. Come on." Clarke shows Maddie a hole in the ground

"Here you need to stay hidden in here while Clarke and I draw them away." I say

"Not without you!" Maddie disagrees

"There's no time to argue about this, Maddie. Get in, now. We're goanna lead them away." Clarke orders, helping Maddie in

Clarke gives Maddie her gun again and tells her to stay out of sight before we cover the hole.

"There! Something's moving!"

"Come on."

We start running away from Maddie to draw them away.

"There they are! On the ridge!"

"Clarke you have to keep up!" I say, grabbing her hand

They shot at us, only to scare us but ended up cutting us off and capturing us.

The man radioed, telling his leader he captured us. We were restrained and gagged before being forced to walk.

We were brought into the village and shoved to the ground.

"Let me see their faces."

The man grabbed our hair and pulled it up forcefully to show our faces to their leader.
