Over the course of the next week and a half Ned and Peter had been texting back and forth, rebuilding the relationship they had lost. Noticing how uncomfortable Harley seemed with it all Peter made sure to have him updated whenever they facetimed or met up but didn't want to give up on it again even though Harley never intended for him too. On the contrary Harley was over the moon that Peter was happy about making a new friend all that he had reservations about is how Ned had broken Peter and Wades trust before and it could happen again. How could anyone be so cruel to such and amazing person? Harley always demanded to know in his head. It seemed impossible too him, unfathomable. Every time Peter mentioned the name of the man who hurt him so deeply Harley secretly wished Ned never came back into Peter life. Selfish. That's what his subconscious told him he was.

"-so, then I told Wade to shut the fuck up because he's a wanker. Especially after he woke me up by pouring water on me the other day! I mean what's he teaching my daughter to be like." Peter threw his arms in the air in defeat.

Harley laughed, watching Peter do the dishes with lavender rubber gloves on, bubbles flying everywhere. "Pete! You're throwing bubbles everywhere! I can't see anymore."

Peter huffed, using his elbow to wipe the bubbles of the camera before going back to scrubbing the plastic plate Wade used to paint with. "There you go. Whose idea was it to facetime? Honestly, you're so demanding."

"Shut up, no I'm not." He said rolling his eyes.

"You are."

"No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are!"

"No, I'm not, but where are the children? I know Alice and Pep are out on their date right now."

Peter sighed, "Well, they were at chemo when we were working on our SI work earlier but now I think they're either at the park so she can nap or at the zoo because I know she wants to see real life lions but I told Wade that if they were going to go not let Sofia too near the animals or other people because her system is still low- I cant risk it."

"Aw Pete, she'll be fine. Wade knows everything about its all- in fact I actually thought he was studying once because we had a maths test that day but nah he was looking up/ doing very intense research about if he could take someone with cancer to the statue of liberty. In the end I think he decided not too because of the crowds but still, he did the work."

"Oh, I remember that... didn't he just about pass that test."

Harley collapsed backwards, "God he did awful. Like imagine being his best friends."

"Sooo sad." From somewhere behind Harley, Peter heard a faint call. "Hey, Harls, who called you?"

Even though it was obvious no one was physically behind him Harley swung his head back, "Hello?" he called. Peter could faintly hear someone call back but didn't quite catch what they said. "Yeah, I'll be down in a minute!" Harley turned back to the camera, "Sorry darling, but I gotta go help Clint not die because he pranked Natasha with Sam, but Sam's used his wings to stay with another friend for the rest of the week."

Peter pulled a sympathetic face, "Tell him I wish him luck and now his fate is in the hands of the Gods."

"Lord have mercy on that man."

A playlist that Bucky and Steve had actually compiled together was playing in the background. It was helping Peter glide around the room, doing all of his chores, while thinking about family. The time period pieces of the 40s and 30s helped Peter feel closer to Bucky and Steve because he knew that was the stuff, they grew up listening too. Beautiful as they were it was somewhat sad going down the road of what they listened to war- some of the most tragic times for nearly everything on the planet. To make it less depressing Peter had also added some 50s music because he loved Little Richard. Tutti Frutti came on and he couldn't help but dance around the apartment with the broom.
