AURORA WALKED through the grocery store with her uncle by her side. The two decided to pick up groceries since they didn't really serve a purpose in decorating for the wedding, the only importance they had was, Aurora was one of the bridesmaids, as Joshua and Lucas were one of the best men.
"So, Uncle Josh," Aurora spoke up, her voice was hesitant, this has been on her mind all day, and now that the two were alone she could talk. "Um, this summer, Pacey's going to be out on his boat for a little vacation, uh, earlier he asked me to go with him, and I want to go," she told him. "I think right now this is the perfect thing for me and Pace, and we'll be careful, I promise."
"Absolutely not," Joshua responded. "All summer?"
"Uncle Joshua, please," Aurora pleaded. "I promise you that we will be fine, okay? Pacey knows how to handle the boat, we'll be safe. And- And I swear I'll call you at every boat dock, okay? I think it would be nice for me and Pacey to get go out together, not because of sex, but because things with Haley are complicated, and to be honest, I want to get away from all the drama. Please."
Joshua sighed and picked up a bag of chips from the shelf and placed it in the cart before they continued to walk. "I guess so," he mumbled. A huge smile came upon her face, but before she could say anything, he interrupted, "you and Pacey deserve it, and all teenagers go on vacation," he shrugged, "but!" he exclaimed, "I expect a phone call at least once or twice a week, and no funny business."
Aurora nodded with a smile, she stopped the cart and gave her uncle a big hug, "thank you, thank you, thank you!" she repeated, happily. "I promise to call, and trust me, nothing will happen between me and Pacey."
"Yeah, yeah," Joshua rolled his eyes, giving her a hug.

IT WAS time for the wedding vows, Gail was the first to speak up, "I do promise to love you, in good times, and in bad, in sickness and in health." She inhaled, sharply, to hold back the tears that desperately wanted to spill. "I loved you before I knew you. I will love you for all eternity, for you are my beloved, Mitch. You're my best friend."
Aurora and Pacey snuck a quick glance at one another before it was time for Mitch's vows. "I loved you before I knew you, and I will love you for eternity, for you are my beloved. You're my best friend," he softly said.
"And now by the power vested in me, I'm happy to pronounce you husband and wife, again," the man stated. "Mitch, you may kiss the bride." Everyone smiled as the newly married couple shared a kiss.
Everyone roses to their feet, and applause filled the air. Aurora smiled at them and clapped as they walked past, and down the aisle. Dawson and Joey walked down next as Maid of Honor and Best man, and then Aurora, Lucas, and Joshua followed behind, the two boys on either side of her.
After the ceremony everyone stood around to dance and socialize. Aurora and Pacey were on the dance floor, dancing together. "Pace, my uncle said yes," Aurora spoke up with a smile. "I can go with you on the trip," she exclaimed.
Pacey smiled, widely, and wrapped his arms around her torso and spun her around. "I am so glad to hear you say that Rory," he stated, before he leaned down and whispered in her ear, "this might be the best summer of your life. It might top last summer."
Aurora chuckled, "anything can beat last summer."
Pacey shrugged, "that's true."
The couple was interrupted from their dance when Joshua walked up to both of them. He cleared his throat to announce his presence and crossed his arms. "Pacey, I think you and I need to have a little chat."
Pacey looked over at the older man and nodded, "yes, sir."
Aurora chuckled, "I'll leave you two alone." Before she walked away, she leaned up to whisper in his ear, "good luck."

IT WAS the morning that the couple was set off to go travel along the coast. Aurora finished packing the main resources she needed, last night, she had finished packing her clothes. Lucas occasionally popped into her room to tell her to stay on the boat for as long as she wanted, him and Joshua would be fine, all she did was simply roll her eyes and slam the door in his face.
Aurora finished, she grabbed her bag and small suitcase, she didn't bring a lot or anything to valuable just in case. She shut her bedroom door behind her and walked down the staircase. "Good morning!" she greeted.
Joshua and Lucas both looked up from their spot at the kitchen island. "Good morning," Joshua greeted back, standing up from his seat. "You want something to eat before you go?" he questioned.
"Me and Pacey are going to stop and get some breakfast before we leave," Aurora stated, "so, I should probably start heading there now, I have to put my stuff on the boat, and then we need to lock it up, before we go eat."
Joshua nodded, "okay." He pulled her into a hug and kissed the side of her forehead. "All right, have fun, but not too much fun," he reminded. "I love you, Rora."
Aurora smiled, "love you too, Uncle Josh."
The two pulled away from the hug and looked over at the Benson boy, he looked up at the two of them and furrowed his eyebrows. "What?" he questioned, taking a bite out of his muffin. "It's not like she's leaving forever, I'll see her in a few months."
"I'll miss you too, Luke," Aurora spoke with a sarcastic tone. "But anyways," she continued. "I'm going to go, so goodbye, and I'll call you soon, Uncle Josh," she stated, opening up the front door and walking out of the house.
All she has ever dreamed about was her and Pacey going on their own vacation alone, and though this wasn't huge, it was still perfect. This was it. This was going to be her best summer yet. "It's you and me, Pace."
