THE GANG all laid down in Dawson Leery's room, watching as Andie danced in front of the tv screen to 'footloose.' Lucas tried his best to contain the smile that so badly wanted to creep onto his face. "Oh, my God. I love footloose," Andie exclaimed. "Don't you guys love to dance?" she asked with a smile. "I am so excited about the homecoming dance next weekend."

Pacey glanced over at Aurora who had kept her gaze on the blonde instead. Ever since she found out he kissed Tamra, she hasn't talked to him, but Pacey didn't understand why, none of them did. "The homecoming dance?" he questioned. "Oh, my God. We're hanging out with Marcia Brady."

Andie stood up straight with a confused look, "I don't understand. What's wrong with the school dance?"

"I think what Pacey's just saying is we're not exactly the school dance type," Dawson explained.

"Yeah, we'd rather watch a movie about a high school dance than actually set foot inside an over-decorated gym," Joey added.

"In fact, this indictment of high school conventions isn't really just limited to dances. It kind of covers the whole spectrum of school sponsored event. Case in point- Joey, how many high school football games have you been to?"

"None," she replied.

"And Dawson, Lucas, how many pep rallies have you loyally attended."

"Zero."

"Rory, how many-"

Before he had another chance to get a single word out, Aurora glanced back at him, "don't," she simply said before she turned back around and looked up at the blonde girl. "Continue, Andie," she told her.

Andie scoffed, "you guys are a bunch of cynics, you know that? I mean what kind of high school memories are you guys going to have, if all you did in high school was bitch and moan about everything?"

"Bitching memories," Joey shrugged.

"Moaning memories," Dawson added.

Aurora glanced back at the two of them with a look of annoyance written on her face. The way Dawson's 'point' sounded was wrong. "You guys are completely sabotaging your high school experience."

"Guilty as charge," Pacey stated. "Now, Dawson. If you don't mind, would you turn the video back on? Because I really want to see who's responsible for Kevin Bacon's roguish, devil-may-care hairdo."

The movie unpaused. All five of their eyes were back glued onto the screen until Andie stood in front of it. "You mean you would rather watch a movie about something than doing it yourselves?"

"Correct."

"Okay, what about sex?" Andie asked. "I mean, you guys are missing a major opportunity here. Why else do you think the bible-thumpers in footloose were so adamant about outlawing dancing? They believed it to be sinful."

"Are you saying dancing equals sex?" Dawson asked.

"No, I'm saying dancing could possibly be really great foreplay."

"I love the way you think," Pacey commented.

"So, who's coming with me on Saturday?"

Aurora looked down at the bed, waiting for one of them to speak up, but heard nothing. The brunette looked up and smiled over at Andie, "okay, fine, I'm in," she told the girl who smiled brightly.
