THE TWO pairs arrived at the prom. Aurora and Pacey waited outside while the other two walked inside. He held her hands as he turned his body to face her, she looked up at him with a nervous look. "Are you ready to do this, Benson?" Pacey asked. "Because we don't have to tell them if you don't wa-"
"No," Aurora interrupted. "No, Pacey, I want too," she told him. "We dated before, I'm not expecting a huge reaction from them," she informed. "I'm glad to be here you with, Pace," she stated with a smile on her face. "I'm ready."
Pacey smiled down at the girl and leaned down, giving her a kiss, she kissed back, but it didn't last long. Aurora pulled away first and gave him one last smile, before he spoke up, "let's do this, Rory."
The couple walked into the building, hand in hand. The two of them looked around before they spotted the round table, there sat was all of their friends. Jen was the first to notice them when they arrived, "Pacey, Aurora, hey," she exclaimed. "You guys look amazing," she complimented them.
"Thank you, Jen, you look great," Aurora replied.
It took a second, but they eventually started to realize something about the two of them. Jack's eyes widened and a smirk made its way to his face. "Congratulations you two," he told them. "I know you two would find your way back to each other."
Haley looked around at them as they all started to talk about the relationship, a frown was set on her face as she did so. The conversation was slowly brought to an end, and Aurora looked straight toward Haley, she smiled, genuinely happy for the two. "Congrats, you two look beautiful together," she complimented, but there was still an awkward tension, so, out of nervousness, she cracked a joke, "Aurora, being the better looking one in the relationship obviously."
Aurora was the first to laugh, before everyone around the table joined in. Pacey pressed a tongue to his cheek as he nodded with a smirk on his face. "I see how it is, Monroe," he stated with a teasing tone. "But I can't disagree with you," he stated.
"Don't be cheesy," Aurora told him before she leaned up and pressed a kiss against his lips.
"Get a room," Dawson commented, jokingly.

EVERYONE AT the table went their separate days at the dance. Aurora had her arms wrapped around Pacey's neck, and his hands were rested on her waist. The two looked up at one another, both with a smile on their face and swayed back and forth with the music that played softly in the background.
Every so often Aurora would catch the stares from Haley as she danced with Lucas. She took a deep breath and tried to ignore her, but it was hard to focus on the person in front of you, when you felt eyes on the back of your head all night.
Aurora glanced back at the Monroe girl before she sighed and unwrapped her arms from around Pacey's neck. "I need to get some fresh air," she told the Witter boy before she took off out of the building.
She stood by the pier as her hands gripped onto the railing. Her eyes flickered between different parts of the water below them. A small sigh escaped from her lips before she flinched to the sound of footsteps walking up toward them.
Aurora turned and saw Haley stop in front of her with her arms crossed, she shook her head, "you okay?"
"No, I'm not," Aurora shook her head. "I'm trying to have a good night at prom with my boyfriend, but I can't do that when I feel your eyes burning in the back of my head 24/7. I'm sorry that it's weird for you to see me and Pacey together, okay? I get it. But my brother took you to prom voluntarily to make sure you both have a good time, and I don't want you to ruin that for him by worrying about his sister all night."
Haley was speechless. Her mouth fell open slightly to say something, but nothing seemed to come out. She frowned and sighed, "I'm sorry, I- your right, it's weird to see you and Pacey here together, but I wasn't looking at you because of that. I was looking at you because I wanted to see if he made you happy or not, and he does, and I'm glad. I don't care who you end up with, I just want to see you happy."
Aurora frowned and glanced down at the ground, "I appreciate that, Hales," she told her. "But-"
"I'll stop looking at you when you're with Pacey, okay?" Haley interrupted.
"Thanks," Aurora mumbled, softly. "Please, just try to have a good night, okay, Hales? I want to see you happy too. Enjoy yourself, its prom, you only get to experience this twice," she gave her a small smile before she walked past the blonde and went back inside.
Aurora looked around the crowd of people until she noticed the Witter boy sat at their table. A small smile appeared on her face before she walked up behind him and placed a hand on his shoulder, in which he slightly jumped too. "Pace, you want to dance?" she asked, holding her hand out.
Pacey looked up at her and smiled, he nodded and grabbed a hold of her hand, slowly standing up, "I'd love too."
The couple made their way to the dance floor, she wrapped her arms around his neck, as he placed his hands on her hips, and slowly, the two began to sway back and forth to the rhythm of the music.
"I remember the first day we met," Pacey spoke up. "We met in third grade, you were new, and you wore a pair of black shorts and a baby blue t-shirt with a small rose in the middle of the chest area," he informed. "It was at recess, and you were crying by the slides, and of course, I tried to crack a joke, and then- well and then you yelled at me," he laughed.
"You said, 'I miss my mommy, I want to go home' and I didn't know how to comfort you, so I sat down beside you and awkwardly patted your shoulder, since that day, me and you were the best of friends, who knew that we would turn into this," Pacey smiled.
Aurora smiled up at him, "you remember that?"
Pacey whispered in her ear, "I remember everything."
