AURORA BENSON had just returned back from her semester abroad in France. Originally, the plan was supposed to go her freshman year, but she couldn't do it, due to the timing not being right. But this year was her chance, and she took it. It was probably the best school semester she had in all her fifteen years of living. Today was the day she got to see her friends again. She got to see Pacey Witter again.

As soon as she opened the front door to the Benson household. Two familiar voices shouted over one another, the word, 'surprise!' echoed throughout the house. Aurora laughed at her uncle and brother, they both stood near the doorway with a huge grin on their face.

Her uncle, Joshua was the first to step up and wrap his niece into a hug. Aurora smiled as she dropped her two suitcases onto the ground and fell into his embrace. Of course, they talked sometimes on the phone, but it wasn't the same as getting to see them in person. "I missed you so much, kiddo."

Aurora scoffed, "please, I missed you more, Uncle Josh."

Her brother, Lucas toward the back with his arms crossed as he scoffed, catching both of their attention. "You were literally in a whole other country that people would die to go too, and you missed us?" he asked, as he walked up to her, before he wrapped her into a hug, "that seems a little unusual."

"Shut up," Aurora joked, as she rolled her eyes. She wrapped her arms around his neck as she smiled at the amount of family time, she's gotten in just the first few seconds of being home. "You know you missed me. I mean," she shrugged, "who wouldn't."

Lucas shook his head, "yeah, right," he commented, and pulled away from the hug. "You wish."

"So," Joshua spoke up as he watched the two siblings pulled away from each other's embrace. "How was it?" he questioned, awfully curious about the country. "I mean, France, that's crazy. How was the family you stayed with there?"

Aurora smiled at the thought of her experience. "Um, it was definitely the best semester of school I've ever experienced. It was so beautiful there. And, oh my goodness, the Eiffel Tower was breathtaking," she informed them. "And the family I stayed with was so sweet. They really took care of me, and we promised to keep in touch. They had a younger daughter, and she was adorable."

Joshua sat there and nodded along to her words. His mouth fell agape as she talked. "Wow, well look at you, I'm glad you had a chance to be able to study abroad in France. I mean, my high school never did anything like that, but then again, I dropped out too early to find out," he shrugged.

Aurora smiled, "well, believe me, I have a feeling that isn't going to be the last time I go there, or at least I hope," she told them. "It's nothing compared to Cape side, that's for sure," she explained.

Neither one of them knew what else to say. So, Lucas decided to change the subject. "Rora, there's a surprise for you up in your bedroom," he told the brunette, who furrowed her eyebrows.

Aurora grabbed her two suitcases and began to walk up the staircase. Her bedroom was the farthest down the hallway. As she inched closer and closer, she heard the faint whispers that came from the other side.

She took in a deep breath before she twisted the doorknob and pushed open the door. Joey stood by her bed, holding a sign that she decorated, it read, 'welcome home, Rora!' Dawson stood beside her, with a huge smile on his face, as he held a stuffed animal sloth in his hand. Finally, Pacey stood the closest to the door, a bright smile shined across the room, as he held a bouquet of roses in his hand.

The smile on her face widened as she looked to see her three closest friends stood right in front of her. Without another moment of hesitation, Pacey scooped her up into his embrace, she wrapped her arms around his neck, and felt her feet leave the ground as he spun her around. "Ugh, Aurora Benson, never leave me like that again."

Aurora rested her head on his shoulder as she shook her head, "never, Pacey Witter," she told him, pulling out of the hug. Next, she went to Dawson, since he had been the second closest, "Dawson, haven't changed a bit," she told him, and pulled him into a hug.

Dawson chuckled, "you do realize you were only gone for a semester, right?"

"Yeah, and some things have changed," Aurora informed. "I mean, look at Pacey, he has frosted tips now, which look great by the way," she complimented, as she pulled out of the hug. "But you, Leery, have not changed a bit."

Joey scoffed, "okay, enough with the chit chat, it's my turn."

Aurora chuckled as she walked over to her best friend and wrapped her arms around her, tightly. The brunette rested her chin on his shoulder as well. "Joey, oh my goodness, it was miserable without you."

"I could say the same," Joey informed. "Never leave me with the two of them again."

"Wow."

"Appreciate it guys."

Aurora and Joey glanced at each other once again, a smile appeared on their face, as they pulled each other in for one last embrace. "So," she looked around at the three of them, Pacey grabbed her two suitcases and set them down her bed. "What did I miss?"

While Aurora unpacked her suitcase, Joey, helping as well. The three of them all told her what went on while she was gone, and to say the least, she was shocked. "Pacey slept with his teacher, Joey was almost a victim to the lady killer, and you two kissed," she motioned over toward Joey and Dawson on the last bit. "Oh, my god, I really did miss a lot. Also, who is this, Jen Lindley?"

"You know Ms. Ryan, right?"

"Yeah, of course, your neighbor? I used to go there all the time and help with her garden," she told them. A look of realization came across Aurora's face, "oh, wait, I know who she is. Ms. Ryan, told me plenty of stories about her, she's her granddaughter, right?"

"Yup, that's the one," Dawson replied.

"Oh, awesome," Aurora smiled. "I can't wait to meet her."
