Logan

"You need to go home Logan, you have been here days."

I haven't left Aurora's side since we arrived Saturday night. It's now Tuesday.

She still hasn't woke up. Her swelling has  almost gone so they moved her from the ICU to another ward yesterday, but she still isn't waking up.

Luke and Harry drove up to bring me some clothes and called at Iris' for some things for Nicola. They have been great mates. Continuously asking about Aurora's condition.

I'm going to ask the doctor today to see if we can transfer her to a closer hospital. I'll even pay private at this rate for her. It's just not ideal that she is a two hour drive away.

This is one of the reasons why I won't leave. If something happens when me or Nicola are back home, it's a long journey to get back here and that's just not an option right now.

"Logan? Did you hear me?" Nicola's voice snaps me out of my daze, I blink looking at her. "I said you should go home. You haven't slept and-"

"I'm not leaving her. Not like this. I need to see her eyes and hear her voice-." A tear escapes my eye as I wipe it away using the back of my hand.

She's right. I haven't slept or eaten properly since I've been here but I can't leave her. I need her to wake up. I know I am definitely in need of a shower too.

"Hello you two."

The doctor appears in the doorway. I stand, still holding onto Aurora's small hand.

"Hi, she still isn't showing any signs of waking up?" Nicola asks the doctor. I know she is growing concerned as we all thought she may have woken by now.

"The swelling on her brain is now minimal but her injuries she sustained are still having a huge impact on her body, which is why she may not have come around yet. Almost like her body is resting to fight the pain."

"Thank you Doctor."

"I actually have a question, Nicola please tell me if I'm overstepping but, we aren't from the area Doctor, we are from London and one of the reasons I haven't been home yet is because it's a two hour drive away. So what I'm asking is, could we maybe transfer Aurora to a more local hospital, or even private? I will cover the cost. I just want us to be closer to her while we are at home."

"Oh Logan, you don't have to do that." Nicola places her hand on my arm, tears pricking her eyes at my suggestion.

"Leave it with me alright. I'll make some calls and see where we can get her in."

"Thank you! Thank you Doctor." I smile, shaking his hand.

◇◇◇

It's been a week.

A week since my girl has been in hopsital now. Luckily the doctor transferred her to the hospital only 15 minutes from my place so I've been coming home every night.

Not that I can fucking sleep still. My mind constantly wanders back to the last time I was with Aurora. The conversation we had last. I made myself a fucking better man, for her. For us. And I need her to wake up and see that.

I made a round of calls to everyone that I need to speak to.

First I called Smith and told him I can't come back to work while Aurora is still in hospital. He was understanding which I'm thankful for.

I've also kept my Mum in the loop of everything that is going on and she is concerned for me more than anything. She worries about me but she knows if Aurora doesn't wake up, I'll be heartbroken.
